Not sure if this is the right place to post this. If not, feel free to suggest a better place.

Has Literotica ever considered separating Sci-Fi and Fantasy? I'm a big Sci-Fi fan and can take a bit of the Fantasy posts but would really like to see them separate. Any thoughts?

That's way above our pay grade.

There's not really a good place to ask this question, but the best option is probably the Author's Hangout, because most of the site related questions end up there, and the regulars are used to them.

The category barely has any readership combined. Separating them would leave both halves of the category so reader-poor that they'd drop down to Letters and Transcripts levels.

And with 11k stories/chapters already posted -- most by long inactive authors -- trying to split the existing category would be a full time job for a year.

Not likely to happen, and most of us who post there would scream bloody murder if it did.

Best I can offer is to use the tag search limited to the category and hope the authors use tags to distinguish between them. All of mine are tagged "fantasy" and if I ever write a sci-fi, it will have the "sci-fi tag" in addition to the more specific tags.

The small amount of stories does not warrant splitting up.

I have some sci-fi fan friends who despise fantasy. They can picture alien invasion but not vampires or elves.

it's not going to happen. just give up now and move on with your life.

Something else that ain't gonna happen but makes more sense is to merge NonHuman and maybe MC into SciFi-Fantasy. Those are both fantasy realms. The combined readership would make it a more substantial LIT category.
