Scientists: Up to 25,000 barrels at DDT dump site in Pacific

FISH GOOD!:D

N DIEGO (AP) — Marine scientists say they have found what they believe to be as many as 25,000 barrels that possibly contain DDT dumped off the Southern California coast near Catalina Island, where a massive underwater toxic waste site dating back to World War II has long been suspected.

Only DDT? In the English Channel and the North Sea there are barrels of toxic gases from WW1 and thousands of tonnes of shells from WW1 and 2.

That's close to the factory that supplied the entire planet with DDT.

You can find the former factory site on Google Maps. Look for the huge patch of light concrete in Long Beach. Super-fun Superfund site. ;)
