“It’s not like their fins fell off and they grew feet,” she says. “That’s what they want you to believe, that their fins fell off and then they grew some feet and started walking on the land. This is the dumbest theory I’ve ever heard in my whole life. It’s not good, it’s really not good. It’s bad. It’s very bad. Do you know how complex feet are?” (on discussing Darwin's theory of evolution)

"I maintain, that is a Dragon" (on seeing a dinosaur).

"Neanderthal Man could have been a guy they found with a really big forehead." (on explaining fossils of early hominoids)

It is kind of funny, right up to the part where you realise she is home schooling her children.

How Man ended up on this planet isn't science, it's conjecture. Accepting evolution as science is as irresponsible as accepting creationism as the one true answer. At least religion doesn't try to pass it's beliefs off as "science".

But then, she still could be a total idiot. There's a lot of that going around.

I cannot even....

arrggghhhh

*Why do I have the sneaking suspicion, that the woman who is saying these things, was homeschooled.*

Almost as bad as "Climate Continues to Change." As if one could observe the passing of an eon.

It serves me right, for cooking and eating at 2:00 in the morning.
I spilled a bowl full of brown rice, milk and honey, all over my
quilt and plush fleece blanket.

Doing laundry when it is way past your bedtime, does cause one to overlook one's punctuation.

(A little truth and some levity, are a nice break. I envy your snark sense.)

The statement in bold is not necessarily true. Or, at the very least, it could be described as a distinction without a difference.

There is an inescapable relationship between the spiritual realm and the physical realm, especially if one believes that actions or actors in the spiritual realm created the physical. That relationship may not constitute a significant part of the dogma surrounding the spiritual realm, but that does not argue against its reality.

Put more simply, God's command of "Let there be light" cannot rationally be divorced from light's finite speed in a vacuum, its dual property of being both energy and having physical components (photons), and the individual characteristics of its various wavelengths from infrared to ultraviolet.

If there is a God, ALL science is by default a part of His creation. "Miracles" are arguably simply that part of His scientific creation we still do not understand.

Ken Ham is.

You're ignoring something called "method." While the particulars of evolutionary theory may be subject to change based on new information, the actual science of it has been proven and replicated across multiple disciplines - not just macrobiology, but genetics, chemistry, geology. To simply say that science is "just another religion" completely ignores a vast difference in mindset, and is pure oversimplification.

Have I mentioned how much I hate false equivalencies?

There are ignorant fucks everywhere.

I'd be willing to wager there are some here that agree with that moron.

It's an educated guess. Faith in the mechanics...faith, oops.

Agreed. If there truly is a god (as presented by most Christian systems) then it follows that Science must constitute our study or understanding of his instrument and methods.

Personally I do not find a divine intervention necessary for the world as we know it to exist.

I would say that thinking a supreme being caused there to be light by commanding "Let there be light" is irrational.

There's a creationist museum in my state directly down the road from one of the biggest fossil finds in the country. It's... interesting. Creationists are... well, they're full on about it. That's really all you can say about them. They... honestly, GENUINELY believe the stupid shit they say. It's normally not that they're TRYING to be malicious, and it's hard to stay mad at stupid rednecks for being stupid when you live among them. Because it would just be completely exhausting. Because it's a constant stream. This isn't the stupidest shit I've ever heard, and certainly not from a teacher. I've heard ACTUAL teachers, not just home-schooling parents, say shit like this. And then they gloss over biology in class and then bitch because their students can't pass the end of the year test that includes biology. They're normally the same people who REALLY dislike sex-ed and then have teens who can't work condoms. So there's a neverending cycle of stupid young people creating more stupid young people. It's actually been documented in sociology texts as the cycle of ignorance, and it's linked to a lot of other cycles like the cycle of poverty. If you can't do basic biology you're highly unlikely to escape poverty, or drug use, or any number of other things.

Is that the one with displays showing young children playing carelessly next to carnivorous dinosaurs? That place needs to be shut down for that reason alone.

A lot of retards are home skoolin' their fuck trophies.

How Man ended up on this planet isn't science, it's conjecture.

No it's not...it's the best possible theory our brightest minds have come up with based upon a fuck ton of empirical evidence.

Accepting evolution as science is as irresponsible as accepting creationism as the one true answer.

Not even close, I can watch evolution happen in real fucking time....so can you. You have probably even herd about it and never knew it. Antibiotic resistant infections anyone? Evolution hard at work....

Got anywhere I can observe god creating energy/matter? Any evidence even??

Yea....sorry accepting creationism as the one true answer is blind faith in the totally unsupported. Totally bat shit...

Accepting scientific theory as a probable explanation for why the natural world is the way it is while keeping a mind open enough to change should sufficient evidence be presented?

A rational mind seeking the answers to the big questions of life.

Not even close to the same level of crazy, no matter how bad anyone wants them to be.

At least religion doesn't try to pass it's beliefs off as "science".

This is just about public schools that do it...

I'm willing to bet a ton of private christian schools teach it as science as well...btw there are THOUSANDS of pages of results on the subject matter should you decided to google it instead of just spouting complete and total bullshit.

There are ignorant fucks everywhere.

I'd be willing to wager there are some here that agree with that moron.

I'm surprised the RWCJ hasn't made it in here to declare how they are the most atheistic atheist in the whole religion of atheism and then ferociously defend every word that dumb bitch said on her vid.

It's also got a painting of Jesus with a velociraptor and an actually really awesome garden, according to my gf who actually knows about plants. I hate the outdoors. With a passion.

The one that pays no taxes?

Why is everyone obsessing over this? NO religious organization pays taxes. So why the hell should this one have to? I've never understood that. They have the same protection that everyone else does. Separate church and state. They're building a theme park too. I don't give a shit if it's a Jesus-Coaster, it's still a thrill ride. That's like eating a birthday cake covered in cum. It's still cake.
