Sci-Fi/Mind Control

Lime I read your idea in the AH and I think it would be hard to convice the reader of mind control from a transfusion system.

You could use it for a clone story.

The other thought is many things could be injected without the person knowing. Truth serum, drugs, paralizing agent...

Mind control hmm, I do know that the russians had (before the chunoble melt down) a secret development in which they implanted a small computerchip in the brain. The process was to create a way of directly downloading information with out the arduous learning time.

I do not know where the experiment is at presently, nor many details on it. That might tie in better with a story on mind control.

Just as a note, the one thing that was a little freaky about the procedure is that the returned serum/saline was cool (room temperature). Logical yes, but surprising nonetheless.

I was an EMT back in my earlier days and in school we had to give each other IV's. The first time I got one I too was surprised by how cool the saline was. Felt a little wierd. Plus, the little air bubbles that are in the line, when they go in they give a slight tingling sensation. Kinda neat.
I know, nothing to do with the story idea but thought I mention it. :)

If you saw Firefox (or even, heaven forbid, read the book) you will know that the (fictional) weapons in that thing were thought controlled.

There have been a number of experiments in such equipment for use, largely, in difficult conditions. Voice recognition is fine in calm controlled circumstances, but is very susceptible to illness, ambient noise, and stress (eg. voice goes very odd in a high-g turn, also the Alvin+Chipmunks effect of breathing oxy/helium mixture). In the case of amputees, the nerve impulses are relatively easy to interpret and connect to artificial limbs, whether imitating natural limbs or merely using the impulses to control equipment.

The last thought control experiment I knew anything detailed about was dropped because of "a curious antipathy to the use of indwelling sensors". In other words people don't like having chips inserted in their bodies. It worked fine for a very limited range of coarse control; on-off, volume up-down, and (somewhat less reliably) north-south-east-west. The research was being done by a blind expert in computer-user interfaces.

What he never managed to get anywhere with was attempts to get input into the brain.

Kelly is cute!

Been watching her Av bounce around the forums and well If I had the ability of mind control. I am sure she would be on the list, now since she gets a tingle from the air bubbles.

Don't worry Kelly it wouldn't be a sick story! More of a Romantic kind of story.

Heck I probably don't need mind control for that! Just some good honest old fashion hello and a bit of sincere charm.

:rose: for the pretty lady
