Those into Sci Fi might have notice the fairly classy bondage that keeps showing up on the new Battlestar Galactica on SciFi.

Several characters have been confined in that segmented-stainless-steel stuff that I first saw in Pitch Black (Vin Diesel rather extensively confined).

In the latest episode, the Boomer/Cylon clone is not only thus restrained, but has a pretty nice-looking collar as well.

Science Fiction has always been a great backdrop for bondage scenes. It also allows for a lot of creative room when writing erotica fiction. I wrote my first bondage series when I was 16 --- all sci fi. My preference is for the *men* to be helpless and in bondage -- preferably by women. Does anyone remember that scene in "V" with Marc Singer? oh my.

Battlestar Galactica always reminds me of this girl I decided to hit on at a small concert. "It was either watching Battlestar Galactica or this. I (hesitates) chose this."

It didn't go far.

Those who may have bad memories of the Lorne Green version from years ago may well want to check out the current incarnation.

This is very well-done, top-notch sci-fi. Crisp writing with a complex and well-drawn storyline, engaging characters, and an interesting "look" that's a combination of retro equipment and high-tech.
The Cylons are no longer clunky chrome-plated robots....And they have a plan.

No, I'm not saying the series is bad. I just new we were of the same polarity and it wouldn't work out.

I loved the "V" series but I don't remember that particular scene.

He was strapped to a chair for an interrogation (yum) and she was using a staple gun type thing. Lots of resistance and defiance. I was in heaven.

Sounds great Akasha!

I'd love to have that on DVD!

Was this the black-haired woman (head of the aliens) who ate hamsters for fun??

Ann C. Crispin (author of the V book) has been a guest at Dragon con for the past several years .... Should I ask her about her BDSM yearning or leanings next year? *grin* Or would you liek to attend and get her autograph?

I don't think there was nearly enough bondage overall to indicate any interest on the author's part. If I had written it, there would be non stop bondage. I think around that same time I started writing my first ongoing fantasy story about female aliens kidnapping a band. It was bondage 24/7.

(as it should be)

I would love to start watching that show because it seems great, but I get so confused every time I try. I missed the beginning, and I'm not too familiar with the storyline. Can anyone fill me in?

It was a mini series years and years ago, which became an ongoing series for a year or two.

Story is your basic Alien one -

Aliens come (called the Visitors), offer to give humankind all kinds og goodies from the bottom of their hearts (cures to dieases, technology etc.) then the good aliens turn out to be really bad - they wear "masks" and are really ugly SOBs who eat their food live (hence gratuitous hampsters and rats scenes).

Bad aliens secretly taped by a reporter (Marc Singer) and it is learned they are pumping a lot of ocean water into their ships and storing human bodies as well (Homeless in the beginning). Of course knowledge of this solidifies the resistance movement. Once the tape becomes somewhat public the human resistance grows.

Then we are introduced to the resistance movement within the Alien ranks - while they do eat live rats & suck, they don't want to prey in intelligent species.

In the series - the a virus is developed by the humans that kills the Aliens (from the Mini series) - but has to have a regeneration phase triggered by cold - so the aliens have free reign over the warmer zones, but can't live in the northern areas (or the southern areas in that hemisphere) due to the presence of the virus.

The end was a bit cheesy in my view - a hybid baby is born and goes to marry the emperor of the Aliens and this causes the Aliens to stop preying on Humans.

I love battlestar galactica... gets my :catroar: wet every time I see that sci fi bondage. And don't get me started on Vin Diesel and his sci fi gag in pitch black! Fully restrained in all that space metal... lol

That's it, I'm going to go build me some of that sci fi bondage equipment and move to the moon. Perhaps there might be some horny aliens I can practice my futuristic BDSM on.

Pitch Black was an awesome movie. Despite Vin being in bondage in that scene in the movie, I think that overall he comes across as being quite dominant throughout the film and the sequel....which I'm sure has *absolutely nothing* to do with why I love those films :)
