More lies, fear mongering, and divisiveness. It's what Democrats do best. Before you know it they'll have a Muslim racist running the DNC. Oh....wait.

Keep it up, assholes. This is what cost you the election.

Note: HRC's popular vote majority is now over two million. The rigged electoral college is what cost the presidency. Meanwhile, Schumer is quite right -- the destruction of Social Security and Medicare WILL kill or impoverish millions, mainly seniors. Note that people pay into SS and MC, and privatizing them is just plain fucking theft. But Team Tromp is good at theft.

*chuckle*

I love the fact that the pain continues. Still in the anger stage.

I wonder if some of our Democratic posters are so infantilized that they will never be able to get past the anger stage of grief...

It really amazes me that people really care what Shumer thinks.

The underlying policy issue is the privatization of Medicare. It is a very serious policy shift that has many consequences for many people. Currently 55 million people, older Americans that are for the most part retired and on fixed incomes, participate in the current Medicare system.

It should not be trivialized by either Schumer's "declare war on the elderly" proclamation or declaring the seriousness of the proposal and Schumer's stupid attempt to call attention to it as "lies, fear mongering, and divisiveness".

If Ryan and McConnell do try to move this forward in the House and Senate it is a non-trivial matter that should have a lot of very serious debate. There is a real risk that it would result in making Medicare benefits subject to the market. Great when the market leading indicator is over 19,000 like it was today, but not so great when the market tanks to 7,000 like it did in 2008.

Or, we could just let "it" die of natural causes. 'Cause it will.

Schumer is a HUGE asshole. Don't pay any attention to him. He's a whore.

I understand what is going on, I just think Shumer is an idiot.

This is not an issue since we all became godless communists since Obama was elected. At least that we where were told.

I don't think all the horrors that Trump will cause are any more real.

Really everyone lighten up.

What amazes me is how long it's taking some deplorables to "get" that Trump, as was obvious, is going to screw them where they live and where it will hurt them personally.

Donna Brazile is a Muslim? I did not know that.

Didn't really care, either.

A Trumpbot is denouncing "divisiveness." :)

For something that's such a sure political loser for your opposition, you all certainly seem angry about it.

Of course not. They're only happy when they're mad about something.

A matter for serious debate? If only the Republicans will allow the Democrats the amount of input if the Republicans got into the Senate version of Obamacare which is now law.

For me, GB threads about health care are like a trip to Ripley's...bizarre shit in all directions.

It's crazy to watch hundreds of millions of people allowing essential services to be politicized.

Americans just like to bitch. Most times, the people bitching about others receiving some sort of benefit are, themselves, receiving benefits.

Anyone receiving Medicare has no right to bitch about others wanting a single-payer system.

Anyone receiving Social Security has no right to bitch about others wanting help with food.

Anyone receiving a Mortgage Interest Deduction has no right to bitch about others wanting help with housing.

But, we're Americans and like to feel superior to our neighbor.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised that they led with the elderly.

I assumed it would be, War on the Womb from the Party of Misogyny!

I also thought Muslims had moved to the head of the line along with the Dreamers...

That's exactly it. Essential services have long been absolutely required to be provided whether or not the person can pay.

We already had huge cumbersome bureaucracies to handle care for the indigent. We have one bureaucracy for the elderly another for the disabled another for Indians and a 4th for veterans

Yes, they do. Medicare should end because it is government charity and run as efficiently as the VA.

Yes, they do. They paid their dues. If people want help with food, look to the churches and not Food Stamps, another horribly abused program.

Yes, they do, because they also pay property taxes.

No, what this election proved is that Americans got fed up with being blamed for not ponying up enough in targeted taxation, wealth transfer and the anger of people such as yourself at their resentment and "selfishness."

We could fix a lot of this envy, and that's all it is, with the FairTax.prg and a little bit more adult behavior in DC and limiting their proclivity to put our grandchildren into virtual bondage to pay the bills for [y]our altruism.

Do the math sweet buttercup. Over our lives we pay more to social security/medicare than we collect. The real problem is too little of the excess money now exists for freebies to our elites. Every green scam and bull shit academic paper uses the extra ss money.

LOL how will I be hurt personally by getting to keep more of my money?

Is that like being taxed into prosperity?

LMFAO....common please explain this one.

They are politicized because they aren't really essential, they are luxury services.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised that they led with the elderly.

The social justice crowd is looking for a new demographic to use for an emotional appeal.
