School's Out for the Summer!

For me and my youngest, anyway.

My oldest has two more days to go.

But then, a busy summer is planned.

Between camping, swimming, day camp, Summer rec programs, Amusement Parks and Fairs, as well as some short road trips, it is bound to be busy.

We hope to see the new Harry Potter movie this weekend, as well.

On the grown up side of summer, I am planning on meeting a couple of litsters in Ottawa, spending sometime with my special gal, continuing my job search and move soon.

the new Harry Potter? You mean the second movie? (er, which came out in December last year?) I bought it on DVD a little over a month ago now. My lover can damn near quote it word for word, she's watched it that often!

i'm in college, so it's been summer for me since may. i've (as you all know) been to japan, and plan to go to italy in august. i'm generally just trying to have a bit of excitment, adventure, and really wild things.

The teenager is leaving for the summer next Sunday (the 29th). Won't be back until a few days before school starts.

Oh. Yay. Summer.

Note the fact that it's been raining like nuts here lately... the weather is either cold and rainy or really hot stickey humid rainy... Also i have my job... whoo yay 7 hours running arround making sure rich people can get their scones and croissants (yes we actually sell scones and a wonderful german choclate torte as well) and let me add... my uniform includes a hat and a BOWTIE.
Kon is leaving for a week in some quaint little town arround montreal and than later in the summer He's going to a house in wildwood, Nj for a week.... i'll be working...
oh and i still have no housing for the college i'm transfering to... so that means i have to drive an hour+ every day to get there and than on weekends i'll be working at the bakery... when in hell am i to do my school work? I got a new bed yet i still cna't get to sleep right. I feel like i was kicked in the ass because of all the boxes i had to reorganize int he freezer. Than i'm still working on my car trying to get it to pass inspection...

But uh. look on the bright side.. most of the grass is green... except in the patches where the dog really like to piss... those are kinda yellow and some are just barren mud...

Sorry for bitching... i know people have it worse all over... at least i have food on the table and a car to work on and a job to go to... blah blah blah... *tries to be thankful*

Argh. As an interpreter, with school out for summer, my work options have dwindled by a LOT. All the other interpreters are begging the agency for work too, but fortunately the director likes to give me the 8- and 12-hour overnight hospital assignments, which are easy and a lot of cash.

My interview went well and I will know more next week. I am crossing my fingers, but have some anxiety about moving, changing schools and the conflict with the ex husband over distance!
