I know I get off easy. I go to a little state school, and I commute. So I'm not pauing rooming fees.
 
I had a brother who went off to an Ivy League school. Wanna compare dollar amounts?? My folks had to bend over backwards to help get him through! It's all relative to what you get out of the place! No school is going to be cheap anymore!:rolleyes:
 
SAVE MONEY

I am a college student as well.. I'm an English major and so I have to buy a LOT of books... try out Half.com . I always save SOOOOO much money.

The one saving grace that you book people had was that you could at least buy used (and check out all the highlighted areas!) and even when you sold it back, you got at least a FEW cents for them.

Try going to art school where books are seldom used but the supplies end up killing you alive. No return on sheets of used photo paper, foam core or sketch paper!

Talk about expensive! AGH!

that sucks. There isn't any grants or anything that would help you out?

I was able to do most of my schooling on grants (but I was also married and had kids when I went to school). I don't know if I would be able to get them now or not. I'd love to go back to school but the cost would kill me I'm sure.
 
I was granted finachial aid, but I don't know how much. I'll still have to pay the full fees and tuition tomorrow thoug, because it's the deadline...
 
Going to college is the same as going to the baseball game. SAME DAMN SCAM!

Hotdogs = books
Campus Activity Fees = parking
etc., etc, etc...,
 
... and they keep telling you the product's better than it ever was before...

but,

professor = Jeeter

...and you're wondering what either one is doing to earn his money!

nawww admin would be more like the owners...they keep crying foul and hollerin about loosing tons of money.
