Jennifer had no idea what was happening.
Matt Beckerman was not anyone she particularly thought about. Ever. Let alone in this way. He was an obnoxious know-it-all. He was not attractive - his baby face was average but that he was quite overweight. A word rhymes with Matt, and that was what most of the school called him when he was being terrible. Still, he carried with him this arrogance. It could only come from having a wealthy father and knowing he was going to go to a Top 50 college (and possibly higher) after graduation. He was already set for life. And he knew it.
Earlier that day, he said something rude too Jennifer.
"I saw your dad beg my dad for his job the other night." He said this I front of his two friends - also entitled and nerdy, to their laughter.
That may have been true, albeit exaggerated. Matt's Dad, Herbert, owned a company that manufactured and sold baking and similar equipment to restaurants throughout the east coast. Boring. But lucrative. Jennifer's dad was one of the in-house numbers crunchers, and faced Herbert's constant wrath.
She brushed off what he said initially. But it then lingered in her brain. And, all of a sudden, she felt overwhelmed. She had no idea what this feeling was. And then it hit her.
Matt Beckerman is my superior. And I need to serve him.
A nervous pang rang throughout her body.
She just wrapped up dinner with her family. She said she wanted to go hang out with Dave - her boyfriend of a year, and the lead singer of the local indie high school rock band, and a thoroughly nice guy. Her parents had no issue with this request. They liked Dave.
But instead, Jennifer drove her parent's car to another house. On the other side of town - big lawns and ornate entranceways. She rang the bell.
Matt answered. He had a look of shock on his face. Jennifer worked her way inside. He started to blubber an apology (albeit still condescending). She told him to let her speak.
"After what you said today... I realized something."
Pause.
"You are the most attractive man I have ever laid eyes on and I have never been more turned on in my life."
He flinched. And then her nervously laughed. He clearly did not believe this. Was it a set up of some kind?
She then planted a hard, wet kiss on his lips. Leaping up frantically. She could tell he had never done that, most likely. But she steered him to a chair in the living room - the type of chair his father no doubt sat on. When reading the Wall Street Journal.
And she straddled his lap, moaning a bit, kissed him more, licking his earlobe a bit, and told him how incredibly hot he was once again.
