Recently my mum asked me to sort her loft space out for her. Bearing in mind I'm now 44 and been married nearly 20 years it was quite nostalgic seeing that I hadn't been up there since I was a schoolgirl. I found things that I hadn't seen for years. Old school reports,school photos, swimming certificates,old school uniforms. My secret lockable box with all my diarys and personal stuff in them. I spent hours up there and was like going back in time for that short while. Even my old netball kit still fit me which made me feel even better. School reports weren't that good but i didn't turn out to bad lol. Even some old boyfriend pics lol. Anyway my reason for writing this is that I'm a nurse and during the worst of the corona virus my old school teacher got admmited. He was really ill but gradually he picked up and recoverd after about 2 weeks in hospital. He remembered me and I told him about my visit to my loft. i told him about my school reports and he asked what was he's report said about me. It read.... Stacy is a bright girl but just wastes her time at school. Hopefully she'll realise this and sort herself out... We laughed. He asked for my number and he keeps in touch nearly every week.who would of thought it lol. Just thought I'd share😊👄xx

Thank You for sharing! We forget the teachers, nurses, doctors, bus drivers are all people like us with human frailties and human desires.

I had a youngg English teacher when i was Jr in high School.... she was in her 2nd year teaching, so about 6 yrs older than me.... she pushed the boundaries of dress code etc... we all loved her. I ran into her at a community event with her husband a few years ago.... she was very hands on during our talk.... bought me a drink and told me that she had always wanted to do that back in the day.... i asked her what else she had always wanted to do and she winked and told me to stay in touch.... "you just might find out"..... OMG. Hope You are having a great weekend! Jay
 
It's great that you have good memories you can look back on like this.

By the way. He was right. I did waste my time at school. I found boys and other things at that age and it was after school when I studied and got my qualifications. I'm very appreciative of your lovley comments but at the end of the day it's our job which we get paid for. What I would like to say is it's been the working class people who have kept the different countries going through all this. The people above me have either been furloughed or worked from home. I imagine other professions are exactly the same. The working class deserve a lot of credit. 😊👄
