I just got back from the drugstore, where I picked up a bottle of Noxema on a whim, went in and washed my face with it, and the smell instantly transported me to childhood..after a long summer day at the lake, my Mom would rub Noxema on our burnt little shoulders in our huge bathroom with the cool bright orange counters. Isn't it great how our brains are programmed to trigger memories just by a scent. What smells take you where?

Polo for men makes me hurl...reminds me of an ex. Its not pleasant. :)

actually noxema for exactly the same reason....

A whiff of Charlie = Grandmom before she got really sick and on really special occasions when she was. It reminds me of my whole family together on New Year's Eve playing trivial pursuit and us two being a team cause the typing on the cards was too small for her to read for herself. God we sucked.

:D

My father only wore this really smelly "Old Spice"...gawd I hated that smell when I was young. But now, if I happen upon some elderly gentleman wearing it, I fondly think of my dad and look skyward and send him a smile.
