I got a gal coming over to take a break from her life and she likes scary movies, So I am going to get some, but I want to know what the scariest ones are so I can get them and maybe get held.

I'm convinced that Salem's Lot is the scariest movie I've ever seen. It's been almost 20 years since I saw it, and granted, I was 9 at the time, but I still can't bring myself to watch it.

Go for a Stephen King film.

I like the made for tv movie "It"

That was a good show.

It didn't scare me but rather fascinated me, when downstairs in the TV room with the volume turned down so that Mom wouldn't know I was watching HBO unsupervised, I would listen intently to the exchange between Jonathan Scott-Taylor, Damien, and his brother-like cousin in Omen II. "JOIN ME MARK, you're like my brother". It chilled me because, I wanted to be the one propositioned by that boy, whom I didn't realize at the time I found extraordinarily sexy, especially with that accent of his. And of course there was that whole "really powerful Hell Spawn" mojo of his, that was hot. But simultaneously I was terrified because I knew what happened to Mark after he scorned Damien: right there, in the snowy-woods, Damien fixed Mark with an intense gaze and suddenly Mark was clutching his temple where, we'd later find out, a vessel had broken, killing him quickly. When Damien snapped out of his Son-Of-The-Devil-Coasting-Through-A-Power-Trip fugue, he ran to Mark's side and bellowed, it was very obvious that he was extremely upset by what he'd done, and disappointed, momentarily, that this was his lot in life, to kill those he loves.

Event Horizon!!

I watched it one night all by myself. My husband had to stay overnight in Manhattan. Scared me half to death. I couldn't go to sleep.

anymore suggestions?

please

The Shining is good.

Anything by Stephen King will be pretty good or anything with Wes Craven as the director although he writes a lot of movies too. Just go to the local video store and ask the guy to point you in the direction of those movies.

Oh yeah that is really scary even more so when you think it is just sci fi and not horror like my friends did when I got it muahahahha. Scared the shit out of them they had to sleep with the lights on that weekend in their dorm. mauahahah.

It's a lovely night for The Exorcist. Who knows. May scare her so much, you wont be a virgin this time tommorrow.;)

the original "alien" is the scariest fuckin' movie ever made and segourni (?) weaver is pretty hot in it.

Try a nice suspense thriller like JOY RIDE... it was pretty good film with some intense parts.

Or if you want to freak her out, ge Final Destination... about death coming after you.

Yeah but then she will never fly again.

Night of the Living Dead (the 1968 original, although the 1990 remake is pretty decent too.)

Salem's Lot, definitely.

Scary movies, huh? well, lets see...

any of the early Halloween movies, like 1 or 2

What Lies Beneath was a great movie, kinda scary

and the exorcist, like so many said. scares the shit outta me. especially when she starts talking greek...spooky, cause i understand it all.

Evil Dead 2

Hellraiser 2

and especially Dead Alive are fun to watch on a date.

Oh, yeah. THe 1st Holloween was REALLY scary. And, Jamie Lee Curtis is REALLY hot. Plus it has 1 of my fav. lines,

"Shit."

"I have a place for that." How'd that get in their? I also liked the original Nightmare On Elm Street. Or, "When Freddy is ACTUALLY scary." After the 2nd movie, he turns into a comedian, and, it is NOT scary. The Shining was also a great choice. "Heeeeeere's, Johnny."
