I would absolutely participate if I'd made a scarf before. Since I've not graduated to that from dish rags, I think I'll just watch this thread with interest.
I can't knit but y'all should try a Scarf Box Pass kinda thing. I used to belong to a cigar message board and they'd do what they call a Box Pass. The first guy would put 2 or 3 cigars in a box and mail it to the next guy on the list. The second guy would take out a couple and put a couple of his own back in and so on. Finally it would get back to the first guy and he'd have some new cigars to try. You could each knit X nuber of rows then mail it to the next person etc. Once it was done you could give it to charity or raffle it of here so some lucky AH'er would have something from the group. Just a thought
Alrighty, I thought it over: I'm in. Yes, yes, I can crochet, now bite your tongues you heretics! Does knowing how to crochet make me less of a sex symbol? *snort*
Round robin scarf building... hmmm... Maybe we could get two or three of those going at once, so more than one person could end up with a scarf made by multiple hands?
My only suggestion on that would be to pick a color and stick with it! Scarves that are part mauve, part chartreuse, and part purple just don't do it for me.
