I got yet another scam e-mail. This one was different.
The e-mail claimed to be from a 15-year-old girl in Bolton, UK. She had inherited money and her lawyer was trying to steal the money, a lot of money. She wanted to escape and come and live with me (a total stranger,) because I would take care of her.
The e-mail was sent from Japan. The person who wrote the e-mail was NOT a native English speaker. "15'll get ya 20."
I forwarded the e-mail to the authorities.
(First, I would have had to send airfare, because the girl wouldn't want to draw out money, because it would alert her lawyer. Then I would have had to send money to pay the duty on her family heirlooms. Then, the sender would try to blackmail me for trying to lure an underage girl. Nasty.)
