All I can tell you is for me, if you're playing with my hair and rub lightly with your fingertips all over, I'm purring. I also like to sit and lean my head against the massager's knee. Pay attention to your girl and what she likes. There's a lot of nerves, and a light touch is the way to start. Don't focus in one area but go all over the scalp, and when she indicates that she likes a particular spot, you can spend a little more time there. Neglect not the temples either. And don't be surprised if she falls asleep. Massages, although can be erotic, are extremely relaxing.
