Probably been done a million times before but can anyone offer up a solution to my question.

Pictures stored on iPhone, they are too big to attach on the thread, how do you go about scaling them or am I doing it completely wrong???? hahaha

I am not sure if you want to crop or resize your photos, so I included ways to do both (which often are done together). There are several options:

If you go into your photos, and to the edit. Hit the crop icon, then press the aspect button, choose the frame constraints. Drag the box to the centre of the image (or any part of the image that you want to highlight), and once you got the way you like it, hit the crop button again, which will preview the new photo for you. If you like it, hit save. If not, then repeat.

You can also mail the photos to yourself. You will have an option on how large you want them to be. Once you open the attachment, you can download them to your photos in the size that you have emailed it to yourself.

Another way is to do all your editing on in your iPhotos on a physical computer (and depending on your pad, there too). I tend to prefer it that way, unless I am posting quick snapshots on my social media, as I like to see on a bigger screen how it looks, but I can see better, but that's just me.

Or, there are several apps (free) that will resize, scale and do more in-depth editing. Off the top of my head, I have heard great things about Resize Image and some people I know shell out the 0.99 for iResize. Both had great reviews, and I am sure if you goto your App store, you'll find others, depending on your needs.

Good luck and happy editing :).

I use a free app called Simple Resize. There are plenty, I'm sure (like the ones Fire linked to above) that work just as well.

Just a small reminder...

Upload pics on the Forum server only if it's something you yourself have taken or else the respective Forum mod will remove it. Multiple violations will have your Account Banned.

If it's a pic from the internet, you can copy the URL of the image and hyperlink it in your post.

Your questions have been answered in detail by the ladies above, so I'm better off making my exit here. :)

Good Luck.

I usually just take a screen capture of the actual image and then crop off the edges. That usually gets it under 60KB.

Thank You

Thanks heaps for your info!! Work keeps me flat out but now I have spare time so I can experiment.

^All good with the rules. Only interested in my pics.
