I've been here for about six months now and this is the first online community I've ever been involved with. When I first joined I submitted a couple of stories and dove in here without any understanding of online etiquette. I posted some, started some silly threads and some more thoughtful threads, managing to avoid the dreaded "How until long..." question along the way. Since I've been here I've noticed a number of people formally introducing themselves. So...
I'd like to be as open as many of you, but because of my job I just don't feel I can be (though clues get dropped unless we're hermits, eh?). Having said that, I'm East coast, have recently been receiving AARP mailings (old fart club for those of you not familiar) but look and feel younger than I am (really!). Been married many good years, have a son in his first year of high school and a daughter in her first year of college. And a dog that's getting visibly older as the days go by.
As I said, I just dove in and have met and talked to many wonderful people in my short time here. So, this is my formal "Hello." I try to be respectful and I thank you all for for your kindness and acceptance. I certainly look forward to more fun here.
No pressure to respond; this is my thanks to all of you. Many of you have been here long enough so there is no need, but for some, if you never introduced yourself feel free to do so - if you want.
