'saving' stories

how long can i 'save' stories, while working on them? my unfinished story 'campus cocksucker' was suddenly 'approved'; but i didn't 'submit' it. This is very disturbing. Yes, i am completely new to this.

How long can i 'save' stories? Why did my unfinished and unsubmitted story get taken out of my hands?

Would it be useful to you as authors if we made it so you could save your story in your author area without submitting it? If we did something like this, we would probably need to have some sort of time limit so that if you had a story in queue and you didn't make any changes to it or submit it in, say, 30 days, it would be automatically deleted so that the hard drive doesn't get filled up with partial stories.

If anyone has any thoughts on this idea, please let me know!

Yes, Laurel, it would. Some of your authors use webTV and they have no place to save what they've written but on the site. From what I've been given to understand, that's the problem here.
