Sarah did it

So my grand daughter was flying in for a first visit. I wanted to get my latest story posted so I could pay full attention to her. So I edited as I wrote.

I decided not to have my trusty college girl editor check it because I was sure it would be OK.

So I made a few glaring amateur mistakes.

Like, I spelled my main character's name wrong twice.

There are quote marks undeleted.

And words repeated.

I apologise to my fellow authors for a sloppy post.

But it was Sarah's fault.

I assure you all I will not self edit again.

And to my sweet editor, I do miss you and hope you will forgive me.

A good example of the value of editors.

I hope your sad tale helps others realie how important editors are.

With such a heartwarming excuse, it would be hard not to forgive you this time.

Good job with the story, typos and all.

fixed

I resubmitted my piece with most typos corrected & asked that it be substitited. Eventually my wish was granted. Our webmaster is indeed a benevolent dictator.

Advice to others who approach the Holy Cat; "patience is a virtue".
