That would be Gonzales, architect of Guantanamo policy. Looks dangerously 'liberal' from the far right crazy (family values orgs) point of view.

Perhaps the person in question is a liberal in the original sense of the word, someone deeply committed to lassier faire politics.
Once upon a time, liberal wasn't synonymous with 'Commie scumbag'.
