For downloading digital picture info. Anyone out there have one, mine sucksssssssss!

I've had one for about two years. It was a little quirky under ME, even with the latest drivers, but it seems to be working fine under XP.

But I did find that I had to keep updating the software to get the bloody thing to work consistently...

Same thing here, not worth the troouble. The camera does a better job of downloading.

:(

I have never gotten mine to work right yet.......

and I refuse to crawl around behind my computer plugging and unplugging the dang thing anymore!

For me it was the lesser of the evils.

The cam I got it for was a dinosaur that transferred through a serial port and didn't have an AC adapter, so the act of taking pictures and downloading through the cable included ate the batteries.

I had some initial trouble with mine under Win2K. The trick appears to be (for me anyway):

1. Don't have any other removeable disk (like Zip drive) trying to grab a disk letter. Assign it one.

2. Follow installation instructions to the letter.

3. If you've had multiple installation attemps, check for "hidden devices" in your device manager and uninstall ALL occurrences of the San Disk, then reinstall after a re-boot.

Mine's been working great ever since.
