Finally upgraded my phone. Got this one free with my new plan with my NEW provider (cheaper than my old provider could do, and with loads more talktime and data).
Now I just need to know what the must-have apps are.
I have been playing around with it, and it's much more user-friendly than I thought it would be - but that could be because I've been using the Galaxytab for a while
So, what are the free essential apps that you have (that you think I might like/need)?
And a few free game choices might be nice!
I'm emphasising 'free' because I'm a cheapskate

I have one and would like it to loose a few square inches. It's darn near the size of a tablet.

I love the size!
My last phone had a touchscreen, but it was so small I was forever hitting the wrong numbers/letters, and it didn't have the rotate function so I couldn't turn it onto the side to access the full keyboard like I can with this one.
Plus I used to lose it in my handbag

I got it because the provider is the best provider if you're out in bush Alaska. Still it's huge. And I don't carry a purse.

Pandora - great for music
HBO GO - if you have HBO with your home cable you can watch any movie anytime. The app is free.
Kudzu is an okay one
:) Enjoy

bar code reader and app referrer

If you find someone else with an app you like and they can bring up the bar code for it, you can use the bar code reader to kick start the app download.

games? jewels deluxe
also use the compass app and a nifty app called "where's my droid?
if you lose the phone, you can txt a user selectable word or phrase to your phone and it rings its frikkin head off. (it overrides having it on silent or vibrate....)

Unlike every other person I know, I have never lost any phone!
My kids lose theirs constantly
And my man just doesn't bother even carrying his (drives me nuts, coz its his work phone too, and I'm forever answering his calls, and then running all over the farm to find him!)
The bar code thingy sounds good.
