Breathless a sneaky bitch

Uriah Heep, sage, life coaxed in a dumpster fire,
in poorer thoughts taking scrapes off poems not
their own, Writes a ‘Poor Me Poet.’ Feeds in ego
beats oft in obsequious maleficent retreat, Bows

Use sneaky bitch in the title of a poem.

Sneaky Bitch

You never raised your voice,
you didn’t have to.
You had that look
that made me move
made me question
what was ever mine.

You took the best seat,
claimed it like air.
And I stood,
a guest
in my own damn life.

You were velvet menace
slow blinks
sharp wants.
Nothing was enough
but you let me
keep trying.

I adjusted everything
to orbit your moods.
You’d flop
I’d cancel plans.
You’d vanish
I’d panic.

You never had to say
you owned me.
Your silence
made that clear.

Still
I found you
curled in the center
of my chest,
warm
impossible.

I wanted to be free.
Not like this.

I loved being chosen.

Now the room
smells like nothing.
The door stays shut.
The food untouched.
This house
hollow without you.

Goddamn dachshund~

sneaky bitch
You stole my heart

I still miss you.

Sneaky Bitch

Lace made of leeches
sugar cut with rust
tongue dipped in rosewater
dripping cyanide slow

Fingernails filed on bone
painted with praise
mouth a prayer wheel
greased in gasoline

Breath like velvet
smothering thought
a wink sharp enough
to cut

You wear mercy
like costume
but your shadow
climbs walls

Smile of silk,
bait in a bear trap
eyelashes blink
morse code for war

Your touch rewrites
gravity,
floor becoming ceiling

curtained teeth
milk my blood
a lullaby humming
in reverse

You bloom poison
calling it
grace

Oh
you sneaky
treacherous
bitch
your halo’s
just barbed wire
dipped
in gold.

A Sneaky Bitch

Silk shadow whispers
she sips secrets through keyholes
moonlight holds its breath

Knew I was a sneaky bitch

Juan always hated surprises;
no sudden birthday parties,
no movies full of jump scares.
he even declined having a bachelor party,
so it felt kind of fulfilling when I managed to
actually pull something over on him;
He merely shook his head,
gave me one of those looks,
and muttered, "Perra furtiva." under his breath;
I smiled that he'd come around and agreed
I was a sneaky bitch.
