Same sex marriage is on the Simpsons tonight

Loved the Simpsons tonight - so happy that they made one of the twins come out and not the other. All and all good times, good times.

Afterall, Selma *did* marry Troy McClure years back.... ;)

She also married Sideshow Bob... but was either marriage consumated?

Tonights episode was amusing.. Did Smithers come out? I didn't see him in line at "Homers' Chapel".

edit: by the way I confess to being a lifelong Simpsons fan.

What's with the disclaimer?

"This episode contains discussion of same sex marriage. Parental discussion is advised."

Oh no, we better get the kids to bed, otherwise they might get teh GAY!

I don't know why they put the disclaimer up. Usually The simpsons producers have the guts to put their disclaimers at the end of the show.

I didn't see it, but I remember hearing the rumours a while ago that it was going to happen.

A sister of Marge's is a lesbian...? Nahhh!

Discussion or discretion? Discussion wouldn't be so bad, but it is kind of a painfully obvious, wussy CYA thing to say.

I meant to write "discretion."

Actually, I think that it was handled pretty damn nicely, overall. Cartoon or not.

In the actual episode you mean, or what Fox attached to it?

Both...they had their disclaimer, and then they showed a woman being true to her feelings.
Funny and cute. Not bad at all, and I'm not a huge "Simpsons" fan.

Neither Ashley or Jessica do anything for me.

Oh...the cartoon. I don't regularly watch that either, but tuned in to this one! ;)
