My good deed for the day for parents and relatives of kids- :)

The Disney stores are having an unannounced sale today and tomorrow only of all DVDs and VHS videos for $10 each. No additional Disney Club 10% discount though. And it excludes the new Beauty and the Beast as well as Monsters, Inc. movies. I stocked up for Christmas gifts.

They also had a lot of other stuff at 50% off and costumes/accessories for 33% off. And all Disney 2002 collectible pins for $2 each. Yes, I did a lot of shopping. It will be a very Disney Christmas, as usual.

Another tip- if you want to order things from the Disney catalog and not pay shipping charges, pick up a catalog at the store. There is always a special code on it for free shipping that is NOT included in the catalogs mailed to homes.

Oooh, shopping tips! I love it! ;)

Hi Cheyenne. :D

Hehe... hi!

I couldn't help it. Half price DVD's have to be worth a fortune to the parents on the board! I think I bought 10 or 11 for gifts. Not to mention the other sales stuff, too.

Sure....it has to be this weekend when I'm flat broke! My kids live for the Disney store.

I hear they're also selling (or trying to) the Anaheim Angels, and the Might Ducks hockey team.

Do you get a 10% discount on them?

Oh sure

I already shopped at the Disney store.

I spent almost a thousand bucks last week.. I wonder if I took my receipt back up if I could get some money back.

If not, buy the stuff over again that is on sale and return with full price receipt the next day.

Problem with that.. It's about 100 miles round trip up to the Disney Store for me.

I'd be paying for the gas.. and saving on the items. It's probably not worth it.

I made a rule that all items have to be purchase in Disney World.

That's Disney World in Florida...

not the starter park in California

We got there but there was nothing I wanted on DVD that was $10. Lots of stuff on video but I don't have a VCR. So my husband wound up buying me the Beauty and the Beast DVD anyways. :D

I went shopping tonight and hit the Disney store. I feel so bad for the people who work there. There is no way that they're leaving before 2 or 3 in the morning. It was absolutely wrecked! Costumes strewn about the store, the shelves wrecked, stuffed animal fuzz on the carpet, just a wreck. They had spy kids, but only on VHS and I have a rule that I don't buy VHS when there's a DVD available.

There there Rammie, Mickey hasn't done anything bad. Minnie asked him to do that. Those wrist locks come off without a problem as long as Minnie can get to the key.

Wow, I'm spoiled. It is on my way home from work, or about a 10 minute drive if starting from home.

Here's another trick- even when I go to Disney World, a lot of the souveneirs for the kids are bought at the Disney Store before I ever leave. No way could I fit all that stuff in my luggage to get it home if I actually bought everything at the park! The kids don't know the difference, and don't care. As long as it is Disney. :)

Wal-Mart's not evil. They just... rather suck.

I worked there for the holiday season last year for spare cash. I can tell you that they are truly evil and they hate unions. They never bothered to ask if I was already in one. At the time, I was still a member of the United Federation of Teacher.
