After 25 yrs of marriage and 3 kids...my ex traded me in for a younger model. Its been over 4yrs since the divorce and I'm still torn up over it, dwell on it everyday. We used to have a very satisfying sex life, albeit slowed over time but satisfying nonetheless. My question is.... at times I would fill her up with air, every stroke was like inflating a balloon until some sideways action would deflate her. Does this happen to everyone, some, none? and what causes that to happen in the first place.

I'm sorry you're having such a tough time with the breakup/divorce. Perhaps some of the great resources and counselling would help you get on the road to healing?

As for the air question, yes, it happens to almost everyone at some point. When the vaginal (and anal, for that matter) walls close tightly around the penis/object, air is pushed in with each thrust, but can't escape -- you might equate this to the action of a hand pump for a bicycle or something. When the position of the penis is changed or it's removed, the 'seal' is broken, and the air can come out. Sometimes the expulsion of the air will make a sound, which is commonly referred to as queefing or pussy farting.

While we're on the subject, it should be noted water can also be pushed into the vagina with great force during sex underwater, just like air can. In fact, the action can be strong enough to propel the water through the cervix, into the uterus, and up into the fallopian tubes, leading to infections, scarring, and possibly endometriosis. That's why PiV sex underwater is highly inadviseable/pretty fucking stupid. :)
