Hi there, spurts fiends! Rear Admiral REDWAVE here, saying: Donald Rumsfeld is a military strategy idiot and an incompetent ass! He should be sacked for sheer incompetence alone.

Whatever you think of the war, pro or con, it seems impossible not to agree that the initial war plan, which has Rumsfeld's fingerprints all over it, has been a dismal failure. US troops have been bogged down for days. Their rears and flanks were exposed (oooh, sounds sexy!), and they've been forced to delay their assault on Baghdad to protect their lengthy supply lines. US field commanders are screaming for reinforcements, which are slow in coming.

The military debacle is almost entirely Rumfeld's fault. He arrogantly ignored the advice of his generals, who wanted more troops, a longer initial aerial bombardment, a slower pace. Instead, he insisted on a very risky and aggressive plan, using lighter forces, much less initial aerial "softening up," and a "balls to the wall" race to Baghdad, bypassing a lot of Iraqi forces. His plan has backfired in a major way, and the Iraqis have already scored a moral victory, by holding US troops at bay with such markedly weaker forces.

Even if you support the war, you should be howling for the blood of that incompetent clown Donald Rumsfeld, who has caused many American soldiers to die needlessly because of his stupidity and arrogance!

Name one positive thing you have done for your country or humanity. Other than convice people not to procreate in fear that they would get something like you.

Talk about inconsistancies....

Weren't you the one praising Asan Akbar for throwing the grenade that killed two of his own countrymen?

Please don't make me dig up the link....

You're becoming transparent again....

Iraqi forces have no initiative, by passing them we are saving American lives.

The battle is and always has been Baghdad.

The ONLY thing that was under estimated was the para-military resistance and offensive strategy.

As far as exposed flanks.... unless you set your troops up in a circular position you're going to have something exposed....

Many troops to die? For a force of 250K American there are less than 50 deaths.

Granted when more than one dies it's a shame. But 50 is not a horrific number.

I get a kick out of Rummy when he snarls and grimaces, he is priceless comedy! Oh yeah, forgot, he is a smartass sometimes too, good charateristic if you ask me.

I do too, I like how he deals with the stupid questions from the reporters. He is a hoot to watch sometimes.

Rummy is who we need.....

To deal in a tactful way to the smart ass reporters that waste briefing time, and hone the questions to match the briefing.

What I've reviewed from CENTCOM briefings, we aren't off track at all.

Horseshit.

You know about as much about military tactics as a dog knows quantum physics.

The reason for the "race to Baghdad" was to bypass house-to-house fighting in many areas. Granted, it has to be done in a couple locations, but the plan is to decapitate the Iraqi leadership (which is all in Baghdad) and wait for the rank and file to surrender (or crush them when they can't get any more orders).

And less aerial bombardment means less civilian casualties. They're still being "softened up" plenty, don't you worry.

And here I thought you couldn't get any dumber. Congratulations, REDWAVE, you continue to "shock and awe" me with your fucktard-itude.

Were you listening to "Fresh Air" Wednesday, RED? Terry Gross had Joseph Galloway on. He's a career reporter who wrote the book "We We Soldiers Once, and Young." He carried a rifle in 'Nam for a bit, was the only civilian decorated by the military, has covered a bunch of war stories, and he's really up on history, too.

His take was that Rummy had to be pressured hard to send the amount of forces that are there. His original plan was more stripped down than this one.

Also, do you think people were having flashbacks to 100 hours in 1991?
