rude people on Lit

What's the best way to get rid of people like JamesCarter91? Have you seen his responses? They've been rude, vile, infantile and often derogatory toward the original posts. Sure threads get hijacked but this immature person adds nothing to Literotica other than stir up trouble.

While I don't post much advice on the How To board here, I'm don't want to sign my real name to this thread in hopes that I won't get flamed later.

Any help from the Laurel, the moderators, Weird Harold, LovetoRead, Sheath, Lust Engine, SexyChele or any of the other regulars to this site?

Use the ignore function.

Shunning (aka ostracism) is the ONLY effective solution to trolls and other rude posters. They stir shit to get attention. deny them the attention they crave, and they go elsewhere to to stir shit.

'Fraid it's ANOTHER one I'd have to agree with Weird Harold on (not that there's anything wrong with that!).

The world's full of idiots that have nothing better to do than to stir up shit. Don't let them rain on your parade. They're idiots and don't have much good to spread at all. With any luck, they'll get tired of craving that attention here & move on.

The IGNORE feature does wonders. Use it on this James character. You'll feel better for it & hopefully your time on Lit won't be compromised with another immature & spiteful person.

Good luck!:)

I rarely use the ignore button, I just dont read what they have to say.

There is no way to get rid of them, like in real life, you just have to ignore them and dont let them have any power over you.

Tis the whole reason to do it, to have the power of making you feel certian emotions.

Yep, freedom of speech prevails once again I'm afraid.
Don't reply to their posts. They'll get the message.

At first I thought his posts were annoying, because generally they are just drivel that has no bearing on the thread at hand, but now when I read his posts - in my head I hear a feeble minded, stuttering, Frankenstein trying to put together an intelligent sentence, but not quite succeeding.

When you look at it that way, it's really very funny.

(That doesn't mean that I condone what he does or want to encourage him)

And I totally agree with LTR and Mona.

(I apologize in advance if I offended any feeble minded stuttering Frankensteins out there... sorry)

P.S. anybody want to take bets on how soon he'll show up here with a "G-GOD DAMN butt fucking cock s-s-sucking RRRRRAMPAIGE"? (and no I'm not him, but I think it's an appropriate representation)

There have always been, and always will be, rude people at Lit. You have several options: engage them (which is actually pointless, and becomes boring after a while), put them on ignore, or just don't read anything that pops up under its name.

I had only seen one of his posts until I saw this posting, and then went back and read a couple more. This is obviously a person who has very little, if any, meaningful life. He is attempting to troll and be sarcastic, but is, on my scale, quite whimpy and ineffectual. I noticed he hasn't bothered the General Board - they would tear him to pieces there.

Just write him off as an ignorant asshole, probably very young and immature, who has nothing else going on in his life. Then start enjoying all the other folks at Lit who are nice and helpful. Thankfully, there are lots more of them!

I am not familiar with this particular charming citizen, but I have two strategies for dealing with those posters whom I find less than savoury.

1. Ignore. It's just that simple.

2. If I can't be arsed to put the person on ignore, I read their posts in a funny voice in my head, like Colonel Klink in Hogan's Heroes, of Hans Moleman off the Simpsons, or my 10th grade Latin teacher, or one of the Powerpuff girls, or whatever. It's rather entertaining, actually.

I agree with LE. Except I don't use the Ignore. Must be my curiosity

I've only used the "ignore" function one time, but I still
looked at that's person's posts.........

Best thing to do: ignore their posts.......because if you
respond, its the fuel that feeds the fire.......
