Rtf file problem?

I've submitted a few stories successfully on Lit. Last week I submitted one as a Rich Text Format file created in LibreOffice - guidance says rtf files are OK.

For 3 days it said Awaiting Moderator Approval, then just listed as Pending (guidance says Pending means awaiting mod approval, so not sure what's happening there). Now it's been rejected on formatting grounds - either punctuation or too many line breaks.

I'm pretty confident my writing is OK so wondering if it's the file format. Anyone else had this problem or willing to look at the offending file and see if it's readable?

Otherwise I'll have to go back and insert HTML tags for all the italics so I can copy and paste, which will be tedious (this first chapter is 25k words with lots of dialogue).

Thanks in advance.

I did use .rtf for a story last year, with an empty line between each paragraph and also some text parts in italics, and it did work without any rejection. But anyway, LibreOffice lets you export as .doc and .docx as well, submitted some illustrated stuff in that way, and it was always successful. If you want a second pair of eyes to look trough the file, feel free to contact me.

Thanks 29. I'll message you and try sending you the offending file. I didn't know Lit accepted .doc or docx files, but shouldn't make any difference as obviously I'm trying to keep the format simple. This whole thing is about 120k words (around 10 chapters) so that's a lot of italics if I have to do them manually...
