Actually, I missed it: The first porn story I ever wrote went up on the "Nifty" site on July 15, 2005, but I didn't know about Lit then, and didn't post it here until August 27, 2005.

I posted that first story with all the trepidation of a young virgin in a "first time" story: "I am trembling and nervous, not sure about this, but can't deny my excitement, so please be gentle . . . " I had no idea what to expect - my guess was either "dropped in a black hole and no comments ever received," or "hearing from creeps whom I would rather have kept their raincoats closed.”

Instead, I received dozens kind notes from nice, normal, good people (who just like to read stories about hot lesbian sex :D .) One of these "fans" told me about Lit, and the rest is – history? Personal history, anyway.

If anyone had said a year ago, "Roxanne - you will be a popular porn writer," I would have laughed (and secretly felt a little thrill). The entire experience has opened an exciting new “room” in my life. I've made marvelous friends from distant places, and been allowed to express the "sex positive" side of my personality in ways that would raise eyebrows in the "real world."

So thanks for a great year to my AH colleagues (including the "honorable opposition" in the political threads ;) .) Hugs to my close friends here (you know who you are  ), a salute to the proprietors of this wonderful web site, and most of all, thank you from the bottom of my heart to those wonderful readers whose reads, comments and votes make the entire process such a delicious thrill for all of us.

 :rose:

Happy Birthday, Roxanne. :)

I hope when Feburary 12 flows around next year (that was the first day Fear, Lust, and Vanity went up on Stargazerz) I too will be able to say something like this.

Happy Anniversary! :rose:

(I didn't realize you'd only been around a year)

Congrats! Hell, I don't even remember my exact 2nd Lit anniversary! Good for you, Roxy. :D

Mine third is about a month and a half off yet. October 13th of 2003 I had my first Moving Day story post and my first The New Mysteries story post.

Love you muchly, Roxelby

roxanne, it's great that you turned your literacy and talents to erotica! i'm sure literotica has benefited!

just for the heck of it i looked up the date of my first posted story, and it was July 2001. five years. i remember some of the same feelings and wondered if the the acts were too freaky. 'too freaky' i now know is hard to achieve at literotica.

it a fine thing that the few talented women writers of erotica have a new colleague!

:rose:

Thanks, gang, for the bestest first "birthday" Roxanne has ever had! :)

To Ari, Jenny, Ami, Rob, McK, EL, Sev, Jammies, Cloudy, Achtung, Pure, Impy: Big group hug! (I know - "Ick!" Deal with it . . . :D ) Many  and :rose: and  back atcha.

To what you said, Fem - Not! Big hug, , :rose: , to you, my good friend and protector of our mutual goddess.

To that goddess: Worshipful thanks and respectful-if-sloppy-nevertheless smooches, and gigantic hugs.

To Aurora: The song you posted as a link is priceless. I have listened to it many times, and in addition to being completely charming and about a nifty gal named "Roxie," I've discovered that it's catchy tune is a great antidote for when you get one of those horrible pieces of music stuck in your head. Thank you, my courageous, adventurous, following-her-dream friend.

To those who glanced at the thead and had a kind though - a kind thought back, because I know life is short and threads are many. :rose: To those who saw the thread and wished I would just disappear - suck it up - I'm probably going to be here for a while.

Thanks again, all.

(I think I got everyone, but if I missed someone please please PLEASE give me a big kick in the butt so I can grovel before you seeking forgiveness.)
