Rough draft panel comic

I like! I actually enjoy that rough draft style a lot, although I'm sure it'll look great when finished too.

I think it's fantastic - both the idea and the artist's execution of it.

We all have different tastes, but I'd love it if the boyfriend or husband of one of the two women involved in this 3-some was forced to watch, and not allowed to participate.

While I agree with Kaadee on style, if I could suggest, the hand written text isn't. You're scanning the picture to your computer, so you could easily digitally add the text there. Use comic font if you can, and keep it all cap-locked.

If you'd rather write out your own script, then if you have a line-guide template, you could use that, in combination with a straight edge (triangle, whatever) for the verticals, and write your text quickly using that. Careful with using an ink pen because the ink will roll under the line-guide. I used to be quite proficient with writing yards of text that way, each day.

I really like the style. The roughness/sketchyness makes it feel quite raw and physical. I quite like the handwriting, again it makes the reader feel close to the action.

I was going to say i really liked the stylke - but these words above (or below) express it nicely. ;)

Just to point out why I said what I did,
The first panel looks like it says:
I pulled off her brd..."

the final panel looks like it says:
"Whg not ldy down..."

The reason for the confusion is furthered by you using two different fonts for the letter "a":
hard, having, far
The only way I can describe it is that you used a scriptic "a" for those words, and a printed "a" elsewhere. In one instance, it looked like you noticed it, and changed the scriptic "a" to a printed "a" but thought it looked like a "d" and made a second attempt to write over it.

Even if you decide to keep on writing freehand, I respectfully suggest you use all caps, to avoid this selfsame problem.

I suppose it does depend on how 'deep' we look into the 'subject'

You see 'brd', 'whg' & 'ldy' - i didnt read it as that (especially in context of the text supporting the visual and vice versa

I can agree on the 'a' issue to a degree that might cause an element of unease to the reader....

For me it works as an overall style (the total look) -i like the rough and ready (sketchy style of the visual) but also the handwriting and the language.... but then I also wouldnt really bat an eye lid if it had used a computer font (that worked)

Yeah, sorry about the differences in the a styles. Like I said, it's not a finished draft. More a storyboard type of thing. Mapping out the panels and dialogue. That's all.

But I do appreciate the feedback. I'll post more soon hopefully. I've had a bit of difficulty lately with a pinched nerve. It's weird how a nerve in your back can render your whole arm and hand numb. Needless to say I haven't been drawing much lately. Oh well. I've been wallowing in pain and depression...I haven't been able to sleep more than a couple hours at a time because I can't find a position to lay. Self induced quarantine and sleeplessness without the ability to pass the time by making art is my version of hell.

But brightside. Its finally getting better. My index finger is still numb most of the time, but the rest of my arm is coming round. I actually slept for 4 hours straight last night. So good times.

ugh!

That sounds awful! (I've had hand numbness before and it kinda freaked me out)

I'm glad to hear you're improving. I hope to see more from you soon.
