I think (as a layperson, I might be wrong tho) that the fact that he was revealed to be asian instead of white is still significant:

It changes the idea of white male (ie cops) discriminating against black women
To: there's an anti-black culture that seems to permeated the Police force, regardless of the Police officers' race.

But these are personal speculations given the media news that I've been exposed to. We need statistics etc. to reach an accurate conclusion.

It's sad this had to come down to race like everything else does. Fact is a serial rapist has been brought to justice and to me it was for raping women, their color should be irrelevant, they were women, not crayons.

But to add to LJ's post, not only a rapist, but a cop....let's root for general population.

why do you think so? Maybe I was too dramatic re the entire Police culture
- but in his case: it certainly seems to be. How come all victims were black not one of a # ethnicity?

Fetish. Serial killers have a certain type, so do serial rapists. For whatever reason he preferred black women, the obvious choice in the PC world is its racist and he is punishing them for being less than him, but it could be as simple as a fetish, just like some people prefer women/men of a certain color.

Makes more sense to me. Perhaps the best explanation.

Because, I initially thought: maybe he prayed on black women because he purposefully picked on
certain individuals. Aka those .who were either less likely to take action or, to be treated seriously if they complained.
But there were too many holes in this one. In that there would've been at least one woman of another ethnicity, and not such a uniform pool of women..
