I wonder how her partner felt about being hidden from the public. Did she pose as the nanny when they travelled?
 
Her partner, Kelli Carpenter was cut out of all pictures that met the public eye. Rosie was very money concious and knew that she would lose most of her sponsors. But yes, she was seen as a nanny for the most part.
She will be coming out publicly on March 14.

I only knew because I read Star and Enquirer magazines

I don't actually buy them, I just read them while waiting in those really long grocery lines that we have in the small town of 2000 I live in ;)

I had thought she's been out for years, but maybe I just subliminally processed something I saw in the line at the supermarket.

Rosie was gay until I saw it recently on people or us magazine. She was always talking about tom cruise, but i should have known, lol.
 
One day I hope it is no longer a big event to have someone annouce they are gay. In fact, I hope the day comes when no one feels they need to do it. I would like to change thing just a tad. From now on lets have all the hetero's announce that they are. If they are celebraties lets follow them around with learing smiles and try to catch them being intimate in even the most innocent manner and then we all lear and say ewwwwwwww. The damn world is all screwed up on this issue. I LOVE women. The hell with anyone who would take the time to care or harm me. I am not changing.

I'm with Myst. I didn't know she was gay, or that she had a nanny. I think I remember reading that she had adopted a baby?

Another reason it probably never registered with me that she is gay is that it doesn't matter if she is or isn't to me. I think she has a talk show (is it still on?) but I've never seen it. Will it matter to the show if she is gay or not? I doubt it.
My only "connection" to Rosie is that I used to love the TV ads she'd do for K-mart at Christmas. They had humor to them.

LMAO... I agree totally. People just need to learn that love is love and it doesn't matter who or what the other person is. We love the person for who they are, not their gender, race, creed or what have you..
But damn... The heteros would freak out if we did that to them lol...
I'm now officially out and proud to everyone and I don't give a flip what they care...

Just what are you trying to imply, Ms. Rose? Just because she hasn't made a movie where there was actually "a couple" since she left Yale? (Well there was the adaptation of Return of Martin Guerre, whatever that was called, with Richard Gere. Oh, wait, never-mind. People talk about him the same way they do with Tom Cruise, don't they.)

BTW... Foster says she is asexual... Don't know if that is true or not but that has been what she has been quoted as saying. But hey.. she would be a great role model for the Gay and Lesbian community.
