One of the world’s largest talent agencies has abandoned former client Roseanne Barr on the same day ABC cancelled the reboot of her Roseanne sitcom.

International Creative Management, ICM Partners, dropped the comedian on Tuesday, Variety reports.

“We are all greatly distressed by the disgraceful and unacceptable tweet from Roseanne Barr this morning,” ICM Partners said in a statement. “What she wrote is antithetical to our core values, both as individuals and as an agency.”

“Consequently, we have notified her that we will not represent her,” ICM Partners continued. “Effective immediately, Roseanne Barr is no longer a client.”

Obviously you need some education in American democracy.

Here's how it works. Roseanne is free to say whatever she wants, and other people are free to say she's a fucking racist piece of shit. Her opinion; our opinion. Freedom all around!

ABC is free to fire an employee for not being consistent with their values. For not adopting the dress code. For whatever it is when you sign the contract to work for them.

Her firing by her PRIVATE employer has nothing to do with her constitutional right to freedom of speech. She wasn't arrested. She didn't break a law. She can contest her dismissal in court, but good luck with that. You can bet ABC spent the day consulting with their lawyers. Most employers have an at will clause when you get hired meaning they can fire you for no reason at all.

Did anyone here say she had no legal right to Twit about black women being animals? No, I don't think we did. Is that how it works in your country? The government tells you what you can and cannot say?

With few exceptions (threats; public safety) the gov't cannot limit your free speech.
