It's beyond me. I thought W was a shameful and dangerous leader. I was glad when his time was over. But I didn't spend a day of his eight years hoping that he would fail. Quite the opposite. I spent every day of his administration hoping he'd do alright for my country.

In fact, with one exception, I've never voted for any major-party candidate for president. I've disliked most of them in my lifetime. And in all that time, I've never spent a moment hoping any of them would fail.

They fail, we fail.

Dumbasses.

Well your point is incredibly obvious, but all in all, it's definately worth being said. Especially on this forum. A breath of fresh air for once, someone who has some sense.

There seems to be a faction eager for America to fail, in hopes that they can step in and rebuild it their way.

Political vitriol and hate comes from both parties and both lines at all times. There has never been a time in recent history when everyone was happy with the candidate. Impeachment calls for Clinton, Assassination calls for G.W., and failure hopes for Obama, it's all the same crap.

Liberals and conservatives alike are NO BETTER than each other. There isn't a right or wrong camp to be in anymore because anyone who picks Democrat or Republican or supports anyone of those lying shitbags in Washington is ignorant. Politicians don't care about us, they haven't for a very long time no matter WHAT side of the fence they're on. Neither Bush cared about us, Clinton didn't care about us, and Obama doesn't care about us either. Let's just get used to it and stop pretending that one side is better than the other.

To think otherwise is to ignore the last 40 years.

And, yet, you assume it's the Republican Party because you choose not to remember the rhetoric aimed at George Bush after he "stole" the election and Nancy Pelosi's vow that he would get nothing done and that the Democrats would make him an instant lame-duck.

It's always the OTHER party.

We quoted Obama and his people all through the election as they told us THEY were going to remake America and THAT would cause pain.

THIS IS THE PAIN!

You voted FOR it.

Enjoy...

This is why we want his POLICIES to fail:

This is just a partial list of all the taxes on the Bill Harry Reid is cramming through the Senate:

The Democrat party is doing a fine job fucking up the country.

His policies will fail. That's why we want their implementation to fail.

The only way to save America is for the Democrats to fail.

I always hope for anyone opposed to my ideology to fail, since success would mean that my core beliefs were wrong.

ineffective, unpopular etc

but why SHAMEFUL and DANGEROUS?

name ANY POLICY DANGEROUS and SHAMEFUL

Invading Iraq for no reason and getting a couple hundred thousand people killed?

Rewriting the Constitution to suit his ideals?

God, you are a dumbass.

speaking of constitution editing where can I find the part that says :GOVERNMENT WILL FORCE HEALTHCARE UPON the CITIZENS

All of this began even before Obama took office. In his broadcast on Jan. 16, Limbaugh told listeners he had been asked by a major publication for a 400-word statement about his hopes for the new administration:

I'm thinking of replying to the guy, "OK, I'll send you a response, but I don't need 400 words. I need four: I hope he fails." … See, here's the point: everybody thinks it's outrageous to say. Look, even my staff: "Oh, you can't do that." Why not? Why is it any different, what's new, what is unfair about my saying I hope liberalism fails? Liberalism is our problem. Liberalism is what's gotten us dangerously close to the precipice here … I would be honored if the Drive-By Media headlined me all day long: "Limbaugh: I Hope Obama Fails." Somebody's gotta say it.

Notice that Limbaugh did not say: "I hope the administration's liberal plans fail." Or (better): "I know the administration's liberal plans will fail." Or (best): "I fear that this administration's liberal plans will fail, as liberal plans usually do." If it had been phrased that way, nobody could have used Limbaugh's words to misrepresent conservatives as clueless, indifferent or gleeful in the face of the most painful economic crisis in a generation. But then, if it had been phrased that way, nobody would have quoted his words at all—and as Limbaugh himself said, being "headlined" was the point of the exercise. If it had been phrased that way, Limbaugh's face would not now be adorning the covers of magazines. He phrased his hope in a way that drew maximum attention to himself, offered maximum benefit to the administration and did maximum harm to the party he claims to support.

Whoever called for the assassination of George W. Bush? Right here on the GB people have expressed the desire that Obama die. When men carry guns to Obama's appearances they do not have those guns to protect the President.

Oh, for fuck's sake. Take a nap.

Actually, there are several such factions, far-left, far-right, and off-the-map. But, at present, only those on the far right are big enough to be worth noticing.

Do you want millions more Americans to lose their jobs and houses? I would like for several GB wingnuts to answer this question. Is this what you really want?:eek::eek::confused:

 Waitaminnit, now. "Save America" from what? If the Democrats succeed, how does that destroy America?

N.B.: An America transformed into a European-style social democracy has not been destroyed. And that is not what most Dems want anyay. IF ONLY!

America did well under Clinton. Did you hope he would fail?
