I ordered lunch to my room and it was delivered by a deliciously attractive waitress who spent much longer than she needed to bringing it into my room and leaning back on the table while I signed for it. She also lingered on my hand while taking the check and from looking round the room she knows I am here alone.

I'm thinking of ordering champagne with two glasses.

You should have found out when she finished her shift, then just before the time phone for a bucket of ice. When she arrives tell her its for a swelling which will not go down, can she perhaps help?

I would say it was all about the tip. Most hotels have very strict no tolerance policies in place about their employees "conduct" with guests. If you think she was really interested then I would ask her to meet for a drink after work somewhere outside the hotel.
