I don't know a whole hell of a lot about UFC, but if your opponent is taller AND has actual boxing experience, why the hell would you try to box with her?

Rousey's people had been openly talking up her inevitable transition into action movies. I guess that could still happen, but if everyone's most recent image of you is bleeding and KTFO in an octagon, you make for an iffy heroine.

The non-touching of gloves happened before the fight. Afterwards she was somewhat ... non-responsive.

It was just gamesmanship in an attempt to show who's boss, but it also seems likely that she maybe didn't take this fight very seriously.

There's a social network rumor she is/was a possible up for the Ms. Marvel role. If she has chops, she definitely could do better than Gina Carano does. Gina can fight but can't act for shit. :D
