Marcus Ulpius Draco was a rather disgruntled and displeased fellow. He had never much liked Hadrian, the new Emperor, even if he was fond of the man's illustrious predecessor, Trajan. To make matter worse, the Tarentine Greek held a torch for Sabina, the new Empress, whose marriage to the new Caesar had been rumored never to be consummated.
It was true that he held Roman citizenship as his family had since the late Republic, but he was still very much a Tarentine Greek with all of the traditional ideas therefore....well, at least some of them. Like his Spartan ancestors, Draco had been a soldier, though he retired some time ago after 20 years of service, now taking a position as a notary for the late Augustus, the Emperor Trajan. He had been Trajan's client and had taken his name as a result. Now he would have to deal with a man whom he loathed, Publius Aelius Hadrianus, the son-in-law and adopted son of the late Caesar.
A man who would never give Sabina the children that she wanted....a man unworthy of her unrequited love, rapidly turning into hate. A man who never liked women at all.
Yes, Draco knew the truth and he hated Hadrian, mostly because if he had been in Hadrian's shoes, he would have given Sabina everything that she dreamed about.....
But sadly, he could never have her.....though at least he had his slaves, Chloe and Zoe, good Greek girls that could never match his beloved Sabina, but whom he could never give up....he cared too much for the 20 year old twins.
OOC: Need either a Sabina or the twins.....We'll figure things out as we go along.
