Imagine it is Valentine's Day and you are planning a cozy evening at home for you and your special, numero uno, cream of the crop Valentine.

What movie would you say is the most romantic of all time?

Once you have decided, go rent it from the video/dvd store and start cuddling lit!

there are so many...

I really like "Notting Hill", "Sleepless in Seattle", "City of Angles" (although it is very very very very very very very very very very very hard not to sob into his sleeve),....

Halo :rose:

Most romantic? Hmmmmmmmmmmm...

I have a bad answer to a good question:

Let's read Lady Chatterly's Lover together and then pop some pornovideo :)

Have you seen "Lady Chatterly's Lover II"?

It is a B porn flic and is funny as shit!

how about we start with the "Kamasutra" and see how far we can get and THEN pop some filthy porn in to finish the day off :D

Halo :rose:

No I haven't. That could be fun.

I just love DHL's novel. I can remember reading it once in the bedroom while my girlfriend was doing homework in the living room.

Lila! Lila! Plllllleeeeeezzzzzz......

She was such a nice girlfriend. She came back in the room, climbed on top of me, fucked me, then went back to her homework. LOL :)

Halo :rose:

Another inspiring idea! :)

I have a lot of favorite romantic movies.

One of my most favorite is

"Always" with Richard Dreyfuss and Holly Hunter.

Cry much? Oh yeah! Of course, a tear jerker with your Valentine is a great way to start things moving in the right direction.

Well, watching a porn would probably jump start things too lol

Bound

Ever see this flick? It's awesome. I think me and Halo with a couple of robes and plenty of lube could make it most of the way through this video. Now, what was that Blockbuster number?

(Oops, now I've gone and done it. Mmm...don't I wish.)

A romantic movie I love is..........

*Pretty Woman* I love Julia Roberts with Richard Gere in this movie......

1sexylady...... :rose:

Pretty Woman:

Another of my favorites.

Did you know Julia used a body double for the opening scene where she was putting on her stockings. She was a no nudity sort of gal!

Romancing the Stone!!!!!!!! <I picture myself as kathleen turner's character in about 10 yrs...lol>

In no particular order..

Run Lo Run
What Dreams May Come
Bram Stoker’s Dracula
Rebecca
An Affair to Remember
Casablanca
Benny and Joon
Romeo and Juliet (1968)
Harold and Maude
The Princess Bride

One Fine Day with Michelle Pfiffer and George Clooney is pretty good. Kind of corny with some horrible acting on Keanu's part but the concept and visualizations of A Walk In The Clouds is pretty good also. Now dont get me wrong but Bubble Boy did make me cry. I know its a silly comedy but the end is a real tear jerker.

Great ideas!

What was that movie with Annette Bennig and Warren Beatty. They fell in love on a cruise ship and returned to their normal chaotic lives.

They were to have met at the top of the Empire State building, she gets hit by a car.......

A remake of another movie. Silly me for starting a movie thread, I never remember titles! :)

Love Affair?

Perhaps the sparks between the two leading actors helped keep me interested.

Probably not "traditionally romantic" but my pick would be "The Big Easy" or "Bull Durham".

Neither would be my pick for a Valentines (I *can* say it) evening, though. That choice would be Armageddon.

All good ones so far. I'd like to add a few:

Out of Africa
Sense and Sensibility
Shakespeare in Love
When Harry Met Sally

French Lieutenant's Woman

Sophie's Choice

Niether of which I would chose for Valentine's Day.

Oh and

As Good as It Gets is an oddball choice, but a decent movie.

MissTaken..that was indeed 'An Affair To Remember'...originally starring Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. I believe it was released in 1957.

Edited to spell correctly the lovely Ms. Kerr's name...

Yes!

Then was remade in the 90's. I love both versions, but now that I think about it, I much prefer Carey Grant!

African Queen is another of my all time favorites. :)

Woo....

Okay, okay. So... if you're like me, and in a total girl mode... "Better Than Chocolate" is so cute and romantic! A classy lesbian love story. Aww. It's so romantic and cuddly! Me and my girlfriend love that movie! Perfect for V-day!

Mads

Actually, you are correct, MissTaken..now that I'm thinking about it.

Leo McCarey's remade his own movie; scene for scene.. which starred Irene Dunne and Charles Boyer in 1939.

Obviously, this version is in B&W.

He changed the original title from ‘Love Affair’ to ‘An Affair To Remember.'

God, I'm such a geek!

For me it would have to be Moulin Rouge... Just the music alone is just lovely....... Come What May... Your Song...Mmmmmmmm...

(Listening to the songs now.)

The other movie I would like is Lady Jane.
