Romance or loving wives? I dont remember.

Im looking for this story, I hope you all can help.

It takes place in either England or Australia I believe.

Guy is married, wants to have kids. wife says she cant, turns out she is on birth control because she is having multiple affirars.

He drives up the coast finds a nice inn/hotel. gets along with and befriends the owners.

Walks on the beach, ends up walking with the owners young daughter and her dog. They fall in love.

also something about a cove and slavers and a murders/rapes in the past.

His best friend is a doctor, a black woman, as I recall.

Have searched for this alot with no luck.

any help would be great.
