Romance at the ATM

I don't think I "do" romance tales, so no wonder I have no idea where to go with this:

over a number of months, a guy & a gal pass each other at the ATM they both use off hours. Of course, they are both nervous about robbery. But smiles give way to hello, to him holding the door open...

ok... all I got after that is that she slams him up against the glass wall and uses him for urgent rough sex.

Easy, make it a chance encounter story.
Late at night (I assume) and they're afraid of robbery. They apparently seen each other there before (same bus home from work, whatever, just happen to use the same ATM at the same time), this time he offers her to walk her home. If they get off a bus there then they must both live nearby.
Need an extra excuse for that to happen? It's raining and she doesn't have an umbrella and he does.
Then she invites him in for a drink as thanks for walking her home (and she hopes for more than just a drink of course).

I think this has a really solid base (moreso than a lot Ive seen recently)

You could even play around with the letters

"At That Moment" and the like. And yes, ATM the sex act if your story goes that far. (though I think it has non-stroke potential so Id stop far short of that)

Very solid. Hope it is done and the transition from familar stranger to lover is believable.

What would work fine for Lit is to have her seduce him and they end up in bed the same night. A typical Erotic Couplings story that way. Or indeed make it more realistic and have them take it a bit slower and you're firm in the Romance section.

Many ways to go from there. OP solved the key problem of these stories, which is to have a believable way of bringing two random strangers together.

Tonight I was thinking whether this fairy tale could be told in just 50 words. And guess what? Yes, you can! Here it goes:

Once upon a time there were two strangers.
Finishing work at the same time, they occasionally met at a local ATM.
One dark and rainy night, he walked her home under his umbrella. She invited him in for a drink and a chat, and together they lived happily ever after.

What if she IS trying to rob him - steal his card details or whatever - and he catches her at it.
After a brief chase they both find themselves on the floor and then the inevitable fuck scene.

An idea just popped into my head. What about a story about someone watching like a surveilance tape and catching total strangers doing something and describing the scene in detail? It would be written from the observer's standpoint. The observer has no idea who they are and the couple are long gone. Maybe the couple knew it was being recorded, maybe they didn't.
