My boyfriend and I have talked about doing some role-playing, but other than talking about it, we really haven't done it.

Other than playing "dress-up" and feeling a little silly, I'm not really sure where to get started.

I'd love to hear about others and what they do or like and any advice to get started.

All I can do is tell you what my first RP was. It started this way -
I talked it over with my live-in boyfriend the night before. I told him I would give him a scenerio when he left for work in the morning.

As he was leaving, I said to him, "Don't forget to leave two cartons of milk today." He gave me a funny look and left. Sometime later in the day, he figured it out.

When he got home, I met him in a lace teddy. He told me to hurry because, my boyfriend would be home any minute. We fucked like we'd never fucked before. All the while I kept calling him "Roger" (not his name).

There were many more RP experiences after that. Good luck.

Roleplaying with your boyfriend is kind of like condoms, you have to bring them.

Seriously, I have found the best way to get something you really want to do done, is to start it off. So for an example, you really want to roleplay a break in and rape. When he comes home you come out in a teddy and start talking like he is an intruder with a gun or knife. Oh no please get out we have nothing you want, please don't hurt me just take the money and such, he should get the hint and play along.

Oh and generally best if you prepare a note for him to read at work, or home if say he is not a live in boyfriend so he has some idea of what it is your going to be doing when he returns.

I hate to point this, ok I lie, but while this is an interesting topic it actually can go north to HOW TO forum, which has a lot of good advise on this sort of thing, or if you plan to role play it out the Sexual Role play is south on the forums list.

Have fun, and remember to lock the door before RPing unless getting walked in on is part of the fun. It wasn't for me when it happened.

Honestly, it really confuses me how these threads keep cropping up in the ORP forum. I mean, do people even read the discriptions of the forums they enter anymore?

Anyway, this has been moved from ORP, to here, in the hopes that it will bring in a wider audiance for the thread started to garner the information they wanted.
