Role-Playing Communities

I posted this idea tentatively on the "Interrogation" thread, but I figured that since it's a rather selective-interest topic, I might not be getting the response I would by starting a new thread.

Has anyone heard of any groups or communities that do group role-playing, where there is a general theme and main characters, but more people as "extras" that just contribute to the scenary and mood? I think this is a tremendously neat idea. Like I said in the post, you get to satisfy your original craving for 18th century costumes and speech, and at the same time get that dirty sort of thrill from being an exhibitionist. Or you could do a scene that leads to a dungeon, but you'd actually have exposition of the crime, trial, and imprisonment(which would be difficult with only two characters). Or maybe a slave market, with other slaves available, and only the buyers know who will be the other main characters. Or....

I'm getting excited thinking about this. Anybody hear of anything like this going on, or is anybody else interested?

Okay, Papillon, tell me what you know. First, by "auction" are you referring to my fantasy of slave auctions? (Neat! Who'd'a thought such a thing existed....oh wait, not in my area for sure.) Second, I saw the appellation "OOC," but from my limited experience that means "out of character," referring (again, in my experience) to poor attempts at fanfiction. I'm guessing such is not the case here. Does that mean it's still in the conception phase and casting has not been determined? Send me the link if it helps. Thanks!

Where people would dress up in real costumes, the people bought at the Slave Auction would actually accompany their new owners to perform as real slaves for some length of time?

A fair damsel, in costume, if caught by the Bad Guys, would be "cruelly" bound and tortured, until her knight could find and rescue her?

A freedom fighter in the French Underground could be captured by the Gestapo and "interrogated" for who knows how long. That kinda thing?

All with a BDSM sexual kinda slant? THAT would be so COOL!

Not sure this sorta thing can be patented, Blue, but you could still make hella funds on it if you are the founding father of the newest kink on the market...with me as co-founder, of course.

Naturally there are cons: you'd have to be pretty secure in your acting as well as your sexuality, or else pick your scenes carefully to avoid embarrassing OOC moments. Plus, like I said, I'd hate to be cast as the permanent "extra." All the same, this is exciting.

Some groups will have themes to particular parties or events, so looking for one that suits your fancy would be a good place to start.
The one place in BDSM where this sort of thing is most common is in the Spanking community, and particularly, among those who do age-play. I know that near me there is a group that has regular parties where all the women play adults and the men play little boys.
