Roger Stone calls Trump "The greatest mistake in American history."

ha, he's going to have a rather uncomfortable phone call or three. as for a meeting, he'll likely be excluded from the inner circles IF t believes the report.
Stone said Trump would regret failing to pardon himself, saying: “A good, long sentence in prison will give [Trump] a chance to think about it, because the Southern District is coming for him, and he did nothing.” After his rant, Stone is reported to have turned to the filmmakers and said: “Obviously if you use any of that, I’ll murder you.”

Interesting placement of the quotation marks there. I bet it's bullshit.

Oh, the quote is real alright. Even Trump's closest associates knew full well that the man was an incompetent fuck up.

Oh, I'm sure that Roe Stone said, “greatest single mistake in American history.” But those are the only words in quotes. It could be about anything. We're taking the author's word it's about Trump, and his presidency, but there's no supporting quote that would indicate that.

Plus the Daily Beast is a perennial lying rag.

nothing appeals to trump more than obsequious groveling, complete with 'deny, deny, deny'

Trump has as good a case of being the Antichrist as anybody "Lying, dishonest, immoral, cloaked in an aura of light (Celebrity) with his followers wearing his mark (MAGA hats) of course, it's equally possible that he's a low-grade moron and grifter propelled to an undeserved level via both the Peter principle and a raft of smarter men and disingenuous grifters using him for their own ends. -- I'm comfortable with either interpretation

after stone was refused a second pardon by trump following jan 6th:

In the video, Stone is seen speaking on the phone, saying “f— you” and “f— you and your abortionist b—- daughter,” in anger at Trump’s refusal to grant Stone a second pardon.

Stone also insulted Ivanka Trump’s husband and fellow former Trump advisor Jared Kushner, stating that he “has an IQ of 70.”

The video was posted by Danish filmmaker Christoffer Guldbrandsen after footage from his documentary “A Storm Foretold” was subpoenaed by the House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the Capitol.
Guldbrandsen previously said that “being with Roger Stone and people around him for nearly three years, we realized what we saw after the 2020 election and Jan. 6 was not the culmination but the beginning of an antidemocratic movement in the United States.”

a grifter to the end by the looks of it:

Roger Jason Stone is an American conservative political consultant and lobbyist. Since the 1970s, Stone has worked on the campaigns of Republican politicians, including Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, Jack Kemp, Bob Dole, George W. Bush, and Donald Trump. In addition to frequently serving as a campaign adviser, Stone was a political lobbyist. In 1980, he co-founded a Washington, D.C.–based lobbying firm with Paul Manafort and Charles R. Black Jr. The firm recruited Peter G. Kelly and was renamed Black, Manafort, Stone and Kelly in 1984.

During the 1980s, BMSK became a top lobbying firm by leveraging its White House connections to attract high-paying clients, including U.S. corporations and trade associations, as well as foreign governments. By 1990, it was one of the leading lobbyists for American companies and foreign organizations.
