Well, I've been a musician for 15 years... a drummer (or Percussionist, as I prefer it) and I love it. I am currently in a group.. singing and drumming. Any of you out there think "chicks" in bands are hot? Is this a hot thing for some of you people out there? LOL! Just wondering...

Hi MaddyBaby :D

I've read some of your posts and seen you pic and I think everyone will agree with me that you are hot period :D But I do have a major passion for music (wish I could play or sing lol) so it does add even more appeal I'll admit!!

*blushes* Aww... shucks. :) How sweet, boo. Hehehe. I've seen a lot of your posts, too... and you're not so bad yourself, deary!

What's your band's name? What type of music do you play? How did you get started etc....

Lots of questions lol :D

Ooo...

You know what, boo? I have this thing for Canadians... I know it sounds crazy, but I do. Whew. And women.. I love women. Something about Canadian women.... ;)

Hello MaddyBaby,

Yes, I think I could find a band "chick" very sexy -- especially a Percussionist. But then again, I've seen your photo, so I'm biased.:)

Dirac

Hm well... I am 20 now, so I started playing when I was 5 years old. I've jumped around from a lot of groups in my life... I play ALL sort of music, except country. ;) I took private lessons for about... 11 years. It's been part of my life for as long as I can remember, so some of these questions are hard! hehe.

I love Stevie Nicks... :) Sarah McLachlan (Who is Canadian and one of the women I am in love with...) Uhm, Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, Dave Matthews, etc! I love everything... almost. ;)

Do you get the feeling it's just the two of us here? lol :D

Anyway I am Canadian indeed... didn't know that alone could be a turn on lol But I think you made me blush again!!

Don't forget to answer the questions ;)

20?! Ahh so young lol

So what are your all time fave songs from Melissa Etheridge and Sarah McLachlan?

Hey now! You're only 24, damnit! LOL Well hmm... such hard questions! ;)

Melissa Etheridge - Ruins, I Will Never Be The Same, Lover Please, The Different, Unusual Kiss, Into The Dark..

Sarah McLachlan - (SO MANY. LOL) Witness, Fumbling Toward Ecstacy, Fear, Black and White, Fall From Grace, Wait, Elsewhere, Black, and pretty much everything she's done. LOL

That's a very comprehensive list Maddy :D Well done lol

It always kind of bugs me when people think that all lesbian like Melissa just because she's gay. They don't even listen to the music or the lyrics and the complete passion she brings to everything!!

Okay that's my mini rant :D Sorry

Honey,

Don't apologize for your rant... it's completely understandable. I agree with you about Melissa. I've thought she was great even before I realized I was bi (Well, I am starting to think I am a Lesbian.. but that's an entirely different story.) and I still listened to her. I think she's great, and an awesome song writer. Many musicians are downed for what they are. I hate it too. Trust me, I've delt with more than my share being a girl and a drummer. It sucks.

Rockstar chicks are pretty cool. Say, you do any songs by like Godsmack or Fear Factor or System of A Down? :)

Thanks for saying I didn't have to apolagize Maddy :D

I have this little obsession with Melissa as you might be able to tell. Her music never fails to move me. I only became a fan about a year ago when I heard 'Sleep While I Drive' for the first time... since then I've been hooked. Have you read her autobiography?
I also have an obsession, a larger one actually with Sandra Bullock but that too is another story lol

So if you ever need to talk about anything just give me a shout. I'll always offer advice even if it is usually wrong lol

I must head to bed now but I've enjoyed talking with you... it was a pleasure to meet you and I'll talk to you soon I'm sure.

*HUGS & Sweet Dreams*

P.S.
Still didn't telll us the name of your group? ;)

Uh no... I'm a Stevie, Sheryl, Sarah kinda girl.... ..... LOL

Blah, and you say you play all kinds of music. :p

But thats the kind of music I like, nice hard stuff to get my blood pumping and keeping me awake. :)

I'm scared to tell you how long I've been involved in music, but I think you have a pretty good repertoire there, and I don't think that the "Nu Metal" tracks would be a good idea in a Stevie /Melissa set! If you do a UK tour, I'll be there!
To answer your question; Yes, Girls in a band are great, and a huge turn-on for a lot of the audience.
I had a friend who was uttely besotted by a good-time blues band and followed them around to every gig. It was not the bald male lead singer that did it for him though, it was the leggy blonde who played soprano sax!
If you are into Stevie Nicks and Melissa Etheridge, have you ever listened to any of the later songs by Melanie? I'm talking about the stuff she did after the "Brand New Key" era released on the Neighborhood label.
If you'd like to hear some, email and I'll send you an MP3 of "Cyclone"
Cheers

Rock chicks

MaddyBaby,

I love Rock chicks! Don't get too many of them here in UK
There something sexy about girls in bands! I've always been attracted to the 'Bad girl' image! :D
Play the guitar myself,
What are these pictures been mentioned?

"Rock chicks" well, Rock!

I was at a bar maybe 10 years ago, adn the lead singer of the band that night was a woman, interesting seeing a woman singing lovin' touchin' squeezin', and having this HOT gal up front dancing to it, only to have them kiss very nicely in front of everyone after the ong was over.

Lo

:p

:D :D :D :D

Chicks who play rock-type music RULE. I don't know why, but I just have a thing for them...

Probably because I'm a musician too - I started with the piano when I was four (I'm almost 21 now) and the guitar when I was 15... I take my guitar with me everywhere (in point of fact, I'm currently recording some of my material myself with my computer just for fun - my second effort can be found here).

I've never dated a musical woman, though... but if I did... one of the most erotic and sensual things she could do would be to play guitar and sing for me (either something she'd written or a cover) naked.

I played Iris for an ex-girlfriend once (not naked, though) and even though I was nervous as hell, it was an amazing feeling... :)

There's an intimacy about sharing something like that...

Hmm...

RNAB-

Girl, come on! You have to know I like more music than mentioned! There was just too much to name. LOL I have TOO many CDs... -_- Not to mention TOO many musical instruments sitting around!

Sounds like you have a heck of a collection yourself, darlin'! Mm...Karoke... I used to love that! It's been a longtime since I've done it though. My town sucks! LOL Thanks for your essay! ;)

Lo-
Mmm... two chicks getting it on after a set in front of everyone? Dude, that's sweet. Where was that at?! You MUST take me there! Hahaha!

Justin-

Uh... okay. The whole naked thing? Not playing my drums naked. But I do often play in my under things. Hahahaha! It's quite.... free? ;)
