Mikey McKay and the Guardians were rocking. Hard. Mikey's guitar was screaming, the bass was thumping, the drums were fucking loud, and the crowd seemed just as loud.

Mikey had never imagined, when he ran off to LA at 19, he would wind up here. Now, granted, he wasn't exactly playing sold-out football stadiums yet, but now, at 26, he had half a dozen songs on the radio all over the country, and he was touring the states with his band playing at the smaller, one-to-two-thousand seat venues.

The place smelled like cheap beer and stale cigarettes, of course. Even Tommy was breaking local ordinances by smoking onstage at the moment. But this was a special show. His first one back in his hometown. He knew a lot of faces in the crowd tonight.

And he was playing, and singing, his heart out.

*****

Backstage, after the show, it didn't take long for the groupies to show up. Mikey took his pick of a pair of them, a busty blonde and brunette, and moments later they were all making out back in the dressing room.

"No no, hold them up nice and high," he said, pouring some powder cocaine across the brunette's tits. He and the blonde each snorted a rail off her before licking up the rest.

He had the blonde bent over with her ass up in the air, and was about to pour some more of the cocaine out right there, when there was a knock on the door.

"What in the fuck?" Mikey said, getting up and going to the door. It was one of the stagehands.

"Dude, she says she's your sister..."

Haley couldn't believe what she was about to do. She hadn't seen her brother, well half-brother technically, in almost 7 years. Sure, she'd seen his small rise to fame and had listened to his music but he had been hard to contact seeing as he left the family the way he did. He was finally back in their hometown and she had to see him before he left again.

The concert was awesome. Seeing Mikey on stage was surreal. It took her back to the days when he was playing his guitar in the garage. Or in her room whenever he had finished writing a song and wanted to see what she thought. Her already racing heart beat faster as she thought about the times they had before he left home. Now, 25 and working full time at the family business, Haley needed to escape, and what better way then to see if her older brother would let her tag along and experience the life of fame with him.

Haley had pulled the front of her ripped up tank top down to expose more cleavage, which wasn't hard for her with her 36Ds, in order to sway the stage hand to get her access backstage. The black anchor tattoo on her clavicle definitely drew even more attention to her tits as it contrasted against her pale skin. Her fiery red hair and grey eyes made her stand out in a crowd.

She waited with bated breath as the stage hand knocked on Mikey's dressing room door. She didn't know what to expect.

Mikey stepped out of the door and looked at the woman standing before him, and his jaw practically dropped, for a short moment, before he rushed forward and wrapped her up in a hug, picking her bodily up off her feet to squeeze her tight. He set her down and smiled down at her.

"Wow. You look good," he said. "I hardly recognized you there for a second." He looked over at the stagehand, and winked, nodded towards the dressing room door. "Have fun buddy," he said, before putting his arm around his sister's shoulders to lead her away from the room with the now-spurned groupies.

"Enjoy the show?" he asked her with a smirk. "Bring Mom and Dad, too?"

Haley smiled as she watched him take her in. She had just turned 17 when he left home and she had definitely matured since then. Her face had lost the baby fat and she had adopted a daily workout to tone her stomach and legs, emphasizing her hour-glass figure. She knew she looked good. But hearing him say it was another thing.

Laughing a bit as he lifted her up in a hug, she hugged him back. "Of course I enjoyed the show. I've been following your music and it's amazing."

"Fuck no. They didn't want me to come in the first place. But I'm an adult, damnit and they need to stop trying to control me." She punched him in the arm. "I still hate you for leaving me with them." She half-joked.

"Hey, you coulda picked up and left anytime, but you wanted to do the college thing. You did good for yourself."

He looked around. Roadies were bustling around them, tearing down the equipment and hauling it to the truck. They'd be heading out to the next town first thing in the morning.

"This... This could all be gone for me tomorrow. You never know. This is a weird business, but it's fun."

Suddenly, the blonde and brunette came up from behind them and breezed by, pulling on their blouses as they did, rolling their eyes at the girl who had stolen Mikey away from them. Mikey just chuckled as they huffed and puffed and left, shaking his head.

"Yeah, weird business. But fun."

Haley raised an eyebrow at the girls that left his dressing room. They seemed pretty frustrated at her. She gave Mikey a knowing look.

"Fun, huh? Looks like you're having loads of fun." She alluded as she looked back at her half-brother. In a way he hadn't changed. Sure, life on his own and life in a rock band definitely took a toll on him, but he was still the same crazy older brother that she had grown up with.

"Sorry, I pulled you away from...your business." She joked. "But it looks like you're free now. Hopefully you're not too cool to hang out with your little sister..." She crossed her arms under her breasts and put on her best faux pouty face.

Mikey chuckled, watching the girls walk away, and sniffed, and a stray tiny bit of cocaine lodged in his nostril flew up into his nasal cavity and subsequently his bloodstream.

That woke him up. "Loads of fun," he said with a wink, shaking his head a bit. He took a look around. The rest of the band was all hanging out, drinking and smoking cigarettes backstage.

He turned to her. "No way am I too cool to hang out with you. You're getting the rock star treatment tonight. Come on, you gotta check out this tour bus they gave us," he said, giving her a wink and slipping his arm casually around her waist. She felt damn good right next to him. She had certainly grown into a very womanly body since he'd last seen her. Of course he'd kept track of her a bit on the facebook machine, but the pictures she'd posted there didn't do any justice to her real-life appearance!

He gave her butt a playful swat and smirked at her again, so many memories buzzing through his brain. He grabbed a couple beers from a cooler as they headed out to the tour bus...

Haley smiled as wrapped his arm around her and mentioned a "rock star treatment". She was anxious to see what that included. She had always wanted to find out what went on behind the scenes of a rock tour. And going onto a tour bus was top of the list.

She smirked back at him, quickly falling back into the rhythm of being with Mikey again. They were so close before and it was crazy how easy it was to be normal with him again.

His hand snaking her butt made her jump a little. She gave him a playful "hey!" And smirked back at him. She didn't mind though. She couldn't help but to think of some of the times they had...

She wrapped her arm around him and allowed him to lead her to the tour bus.

The tour bus was parked right by the backstage door. The name of the band, "Mikey McKay and the Guardians" was plastered along the side. It was quite large as well. Tommy was actually a bit embarrassed by the damn thing, actually.

"This is was more extravagant than I asked for," he explained as the door opened and they went in. The driver was sitting there at the wheel, a younger guy with long hair and a small acoustic guitar in his lap.

"Helluva show tonight Mikey," he said, and they fist-bumped.

"Thanks Tony," Mikey replied. "How's them chord changes coming along? Got 'em in your fingers yet?"

"Just about," Tony replied. "Go on, show her this damn thing, I got it cleaned up before the show."

"Thanks again buddy," Mikey said. Mikey's hand gripped his half-sister a bit tighter. Just behind Tony was the first lounging area of the bus. One wall was dominated by a huge flat screen TV that was playing Pandora Radio, with a very long sofa lining the other side, big enough to comfortably seat at least half a dozen folks.

There was also a variety of guitars, small amplifiers, some drums, and even a keyboard placed strategically around the room. "Yeah, so I guess we hang out here a lot while we're traveling," he said.

Beyond the sofa was a small kitchenette area, and a table with four chairs around it, and then a wall and a door closed off the rest of the bus from view.

Mikey cracked open the beers he'd grabbed and offered one to his sister. "Here ya go," he smiled at her. "I think this thing was actually, like a fucking tax write-off for some exec at the record company. He was happy cuz the record sold much better than anticipated."

Haley allowed Mikey to guide her around, giving her the grand tour. She was amazed at the size and fanciness of the bus. She couldn't believe her half-brother was living this life. She thanked him for the beer and took a drink.

"This is really awesome, Mikey. I'm so jealous of you." She sat down on the couch as she continued to look around, taking another sip of beer. "Does it get lonely being on the road all the time?" She asked him. She knew she was hella lonely being stuck at home.

"Lonely?" Mikey mused, taking a drink off his beer, and then another one.

"That's not the right word. It's an adventure. Every day you're in a new city... But you have to challenge yourself to keep it from becoming monotonous. It's easy to get lost in the grind. Sometimes every city looks the same. And I've always got the guys in the band, and the roadies, and everyone that makes this all happen."

He sighed, and lit a cigarette. Bad habit, and not really great for his singing voice, but an acquired taste. He opened a window and flipped on a fan to suck the smoke out the roof.

He sat down next to her. Close to her.

"But sometimes it does feel like... Like you're always at work. You're always surrounded by all the people you do your work with, and that can get intense sometimes. And that's when I miss just jamming in the garage."

Haley smiled as he talked about his life as a rock star. She had found herself lost for words because she honestly didn't know enough about his career. Besides, she realized just how much she missed being around him.

She raised an eyebrow at the cigarette. It really didn't surprise her, most people in a stressful business like this smoked. She had just never seen him really smoke before. Surely that wasn't the worst things he did. She had heard about how most rock stars do harder drugs.

She took another drink and smiled over at him when he sat down next to her. "I'm glad you're having fun though. And getting to experience all of this. I wish I had run away like you did."

Mikey took another drag off his cigarette and looked at her.

He was giving her one of his looks.

They had a thing, when they were growing up. They could read each other, knowing almost exactly what the other was wanting to say, just by the way they were looking at each other.

And Mikeys look was clearly one that said "So run away with me already."

The way his eyes stayed locked with hers, clearly said "I want you."

He had almost forgotten how much he missed her. But seeing her was bringing back a whole torrent of memories. His favorite memories.

And it had all started at the beginning of a fateful summer, on a fateful, stormy night: Haley's eighteenth birthday...

Haley looked at her brother. Really looked at him. She knew exactly what was going through his mind. They had that type of connection. Could they really pick up where they left off? Surely, him being a big rock star now, he didn't need her company when he could have anyone.

"Fuck me...." Haley said as she fell backwards onto Mikey's bed. Today was her birthday and couldn't have been any more depressing. Her dad was away on business and her mom had forgotten it was her birthday until a few hours ago. Due to it being summer, none of her friends were in town so having a party would've been pointless. And to top it all off, her boyfriend that had dumped her for some cheerleader last week started texting her with some drama she didn't need and made her miss him more.

"No one loves me. I'm going to die alone." She said depressingly as she stared up at his ceiling. She refused to cry. She never cried in front of Mikey, it wasn't his thing and she didn't like putting him in that situation.

Mikey was noodling away on his acoustic guitar. He chuckled a bit, looking at his sister, watching her get so frustrated, as she fell onto his bed, obviously upset.

He sighed. "Dammit, come on, get up. He was a fucking loser anyways and you can do a lot better," he said.

He smirked at her. He couldn't resist teasing her. It was part of what made them so close. They were always able to give each other a hard time but know they didn't really mean anything hurtful by it.

"Maybe you just need to learn how to be a better kisser!" he teased!

"Yeah I know I can. He's so high school. I'll have better choices in college." She said, knowing he was teasing her. She loved their relationship. Anything could be said and they knew exactly what was meant.

"Shut the fuck up." She teased back. He knew just what to say to get her mind off things. "I kiss just fine, thank you." She turned her head to look at him and stuck out her tongue.

Mikey stuck his own tongue right back out at her.

"I hope that's not how you do it!" he said, setting his guitar down.

He leaned forward conspiratorially then. "Hey, it's your fucking birthday. Mom's passed out. Let's sneak us some drinks!" Mikey suggested, winking at her.

"Forget about that loser real quick, and we'll figure out how you move on. But I can already tell you the answer."

He smirked, standing up over her, looking down at her fit, young body sprawled across the bed.

"It's to have a damn good time."

"I mean, yeah I use tongue. But not that's not how I do it!" She glared at him as he leaned closer. At the mention of drinks her face lit up.

"Oh my god, are you serious? You're such a bad influence." She half-teased, kinda wanting a drink now. If it worked like people said it did, it would help her to forget her stupid birthday and actually have a good time.

Haley noticed him looking at her. She had already changed into her 'pj's' which consisted of Soffe shorts and a black Metallica t-shirt. It wasn't too revealing, but she had already ditched her bra for the night and it showed off her shapely and pale legs. Her short, strawberry blonde hair with some blond highlights was splayed around her head as she laid there looking up at her half-brother.

"Well show me a good time, brother!" She joked, trying to be seductive. They often made remarks like this, never serious and sometimes pissing off their mom.

He took her demand that he show her a good time as a challenge of sorts. He had, after all, spent the afternoon at his buddy Brian's place. They had been jamming a bit, with Eddie, and Eddie had busted out a bag of weed and rolled up a joint.

The rest of the jam session had been most, most excellent, and Mikey was still buzzing off it. He stood up and strode over to his bed, bent over and grabbed his half-sister by her arm and pulled her up onto her feet, pulling her bodily into his chest when he did, mashing her C-cups into him.

Fuck that felt nice.

She had really started filling out lately, Mikey would be lying if he claimed to have not noticed.

"Well, let's go get a drink then, shall we?" he said, with a wink, and then he was hurriedly pulling her along through the house!

Haley giggled a little bit when he pulled her up. Something was up with him and he couldn't tell what. He just seemed really relaxed and happy and she liked this side of him. She was suddenly aware of her lack of a bra as her boobs pressed into his hard chest. She didn't have time to be embarrassed as she was suddenly pulled her through the house.

Trying not to make too much noise so they didn't wake up their mother, Haley followed Mikey to the bar in the study where her father kept all the alcohol.

Mikey and Haley made it safely and silently through the house. After all, they knew where every single creaky floorboard was. They quickly got to the study, and Tommy produced the key to their father's (well, Tommy's step-father's) liquor cabinet.

He opened it up, and before them was arrayed an impressive collection of hard liquors of every sort.

"Is it a vodka birthday, or a rum birthday?" Mikey asked her, pulling out two bottles and holding them up with a conspiratorial smirk.

Haley watched him, not at all surprised that he knew where the key was. He was ever the rebel. She looked between the liquors, not knowing what either of them tasted like or how they affected her.

"Rum? I guess. I don't know. You choose." She said quietly, mimicking his smirk.

"Rum it is," Mikey replied, taking the bottle of rum and putting the vodka back. "Let's go downstairs," he suggested; their basement was finished and served as an entertainment area with a big screen tv, pool table, and sofas and recliners.

Mikey grabbed a bottle of coca-cola and a couple glasses on their way, and they headed down to the basement. Mikey flipped on a light, but kept it fairly dim. He set the glasses, rum, and soda down on the pool table and winked at her before pouring shots out into the cups and filling them the rest of the way with soda.

"Happy Birthday, Haley," he said, and handed her the drink. "Cheers."

Haley followed Mikey downstairs, anxious to have her first drink. She watched as he meticulously poured the drinks. She took her drink from him and clinked her glass with his.

"Cheers!" She said happily, thankful that he was making an effort to make her birthday actually happy. She took a sip, mostly tasting coke, but with an added flavor. "Mmmm." She loved it. "This is great. You're going to make me an alcoholic, bro." She told him, grinning up at him.

Mikey tipped his own glass back, taking a drink himself, and smirking at his sister's words. "Yeah this is pretty tasty," he said.

"So, drinks, check. That's step one to having an awesome birthday. Now, for step two..." he said, winking at her, and pulled a small envelope out of his pocket.

"I got you something," he said, and handed it to her. Inside was a gift certificate for a hundred dollars to a local tattoo parlor.

He tipped back his glass again, draining it this time, and grimaced a bit as the rum hit him strongly, but shook his head a bit as he went about pouring himself another drink.
