Nominated for the class of 2015

Green Day
Nine Inch Nails
N.W.A.
Joan Jett and the Blackhearts
Lou Reed
The Smiths
The Spinners
Sting
Chic
Kraftwerk
The Marvelettes
Bill Withers
War
Stevie Ray Vaughan
The Paul Butterfield Blues Band

I could see these groups getting in Green Day, NIN, War, SRV and the Butterfield Blue Band.

I'd say Lou Reed was the most influential of that group.

lou, the smiths and kraftwerk are the ones i like the best from that list. nwa is alright and a fond memory from my youth, but c'mon, man.

and what genre is that again? look, they're great, but either rename the fucker or start making sense. hip hop aint fucking rock n' roll.

Hey, I don't make the rules. I agree with you but plenty of r&b artists are in there.

How SRV wasn't already in the all is beyond me.

Also, NIN and Greenday? C'mon, man!

I think Chic or The Spinners have a chance. Nile Rodgers is the man bro!

Stew
Nile is the man. He's still out there doing it, too, all while staving off cancer.
Where is Cheap Trick?
Where are the Doobies?
Cheap Trick TOTALLY should be in. So great.
where is Oingo Boingo bro?

Stew
indeed
Cheap Trick - yes.

Doobies - no.
agree

I'd like to see Chic, and Bill Withers get in. I think NIN have done a lot of interesting music, and taken a relatively useless genre and made it listenable. NWA were ground breakers and should be there too.

The Marvelettes are an absurd omission. Should have been in long ago.

Kraftwerk, I thought had already been admitted, so that's a surprise.

These all seem like reasonable choices to me, unlike some recent admissions. Lou and SRV are clearly the top of this class.

I know I'm a tad biased with what i am about to say here because I would like to kick Tent Reznor in the throat, but if they're now at the age of admitting 90's bands, how does NIN get in before Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Rage Against The Machine, motherfucking Tool?

25 years need to pass after the release of their first album. also, they need to not suck.
