If you could bring back to life one deceased rock star for one night of partying who would it be?

Good one Nightlite.....lol.....Mine would be Lennon..........

I need two

Here I stand
Head in hand
Turned my back to the wall
If he's gone I can't go on ....
~John Lennon~

Just take it .....
Break another little piece
of my heart now baby
~Janis Joplin~

Janis Joplin

If it were for a night of partying, Janis Joplin.

If it were for one more song to make the world a better place, John Lennon.

Jim Morrison AND Jimmy Hendrix, can you imagine that fucking party? The whole week of it?

I was tempted to say Freddy Mercury 'cause Queen is, like, may favorite, but that party's not quite my scene.

Woahooo

How coincidental, I'm listening to the local rock station as I hang out here and the following self promoion comes on.

"Jimmy

Jannis

Jim

John

*background riffs from Hendrix, Joplin, Doors and Beatles as appropriate*

They may be dead

But their music lives on"

Cool eh, it about covers most posts here.

Yeah, Juspar. They were the greats and the music world lost a lot when they died. But we got the music and that never dies. :)

odd combo

I know you said one but hey...i have to go with three.. Kurt Cobain, Elvis Presley and Otis Redding... told you it is a wierd combo. I love all three of them and would love a chance to talk with Kurt, sing with Otis and well...ummmm use those gyrating hips for more than dancing and then eat a fried-peanut butter and bananna sandwhich with Elvis...

Cheers Kasha I thought for a moment everyone forgot about Kurt. Would be one wild party

If we're going to talk about more recent events, what about Micheal Hutchings. Now there was one cool guy.

Bon Scott and Janice were also good choices............................

By the time I got to Woodstock ...

Yes ... Janis and Jimi ... totally cool ... i started writing an erotic story about them and Isabella in Woodstock ... that was months ago ...

i kinda got distracted and never finished the story ... i have got to finish it ... :)

... other rock stars who have since died performed there too ... Keith Moon (The Who) ... Jerry Garcia (Grateful Dead ... lol)

That ole' she-devil called Billie Holiday. It's those dreamy eyes and that sweet-sorrow voice. We could gate-crash Robert Johnson's speakeasy down by the crossroads and hook up with the G-snapper for a night of blues-tinged debauchery.

Anyone remember "Rock and Roll Heaven"?

If you believe in heaven, you know there's got to be one hell of a band.
Now I have to go find it.

I was going to say Keith too!

SRV would be the best. I do not want to party with anybody who OD'd. That would not be fun. Might as well play russian roulette with an automatic.
