....................

Idrial's father had been one of the hunt's men of the village in the kingdom of Kilgram, he had wanted a son, and was slightly dissapointed when his wife died after giving birth to a girl, but soon took joy in teaching Idrial how to hunt at his side.

They were out hunting when the village, and caslte were attacked. Hearing the screams from the village they had made their way back to see what they could do. Only to discover that it was too late, when they were attacked as well. The emblem on the soldjers armor was that of a dragon.

Idrial's last vision before being left for dead was watching her father being cut down. Her head pounded from where she hit the tree as her father knocked her to the ground, taking the blow ment for her.

Thinking her only a younger male insted of a female for the way she was clothed. The knight had tryed to run her thru, and killed her father insted. When she didnt move the knight left her for dead to chace down one of the young village girls.

Slowly sitting up she raised her hand to the back of her head. Her hair was matted with dryed blood from a minor cut on the back of her head, but other than a small bit of nasua, and a splitting head ach she seemed fine. Her long red hair was thankfully still held back by its braid, a few tendrals falling in her face, but the cap she had been wearing was lost.

Looking around she reolized that her bow and arrows were still near by, but she didnt see what good they would do her at the moment. If they found her they would ether kill her or take her captive.

Slowly getting to her feet taking her bow with her she stuck to the trees and worked her way around to see what she could discover. Trying not to let her greif over her father and what was left of the village distract her.

After making her way around to where she could see what was going on she watched horrified as the princess was being tied out in the open naked for all to see. She couldnt hear what was being said but she new she had to do something, but what could one girl do against an army... They would only track her and kill her.

Idrial watched as the knight begain touching the princess's naked body. How long had she been knocked out?... Narrowing her Ice blue eyes her anger giving her the courage she needed she couldnt just stand there and watch, better to die now fighting and be done with it. She thought as raised her bow, and took aim on the knight.

Taking her time she took careful aim so as not to hit the princess, and released the arrow, watching, to see it hit its mark going threw the man's hand, she fired a second arrow before ducking back and making a run for it thru the trees, but knew she had missed by inches..for the mad had been prepaired. Praying her death would be a quick one.

Idiral heard the man yell as she ran thru the trees.. she had a good head start but with so many of them comming for her she new she would have to find a place to hide.

Stopping to look where she was going and catching her breath she dedicded to climb a tree near by the branches were thick enough to hide her. Even if they looked up, she would be hidden as long as she didnt move, or her breathing give her away.

Hearing them closing in on her direction she quickly climbed and did her best to slow her breathing, trying not to scare off too many birds in the process. When she felt her ankel being grabbed and was yanked to the ground. Damn.. Not fast enough she thought....

Landing hard her ankel still in the man's hand she quickly brought her other leg up and kicked him in the chest knocking him back. She got up to run only to be surrounded by his companions.. One of them took in her apperance and gave her a learing grin. Look here lads looks like it be a woman were ta be takin back ta the captin...

Name: Leo
Age: 25
Height: 6' 5"
Class: Ranger
Physical: Mid muscled body, light blue eyes, dark sandy blonde hair, almost brown, down to mid eye level. Calm, cold contenance.
Background: Leo was just a common village boy at the age of twelve. Until his village was attacked, that is. It was burned completely to the ground, the inhabitants brutally slain and mutilated, or raped in the woman's cases. He had watched from a nearby tree, unable to do anything to stop it. He left the area after the attack without a second glance back. There was nothing for him there. Nothing but blood and bad memories.

He was picked up by a forest Ranger, who took him in as an apprentice. He taught him for ten years before succumbing to a fatal illness. Leo was a true bred Ranger by this point, and had learned his trade well. The man, Halt, was given a proper burial before Leo moved on, wandering the wilderness and the world for the past three years. By chance he had been about to stop in the castle of Kilgram Kingdom when it was attacked. Countless civilians were slaughtered. After a few moments, which was suprisingly fast, a young woman, who Leo suppose was the Princess, was drug out of the castle and tied to a post, completely nude, in the center of town. A Knight approached and began feeling along the girl's bare body before an arrow tore through his hand. He threw himself backwards before the second could hit him.

Leo tracked where the first arrow had come from before the second was released. Another woman was in the trees and had just released a second arrow before taking off into the trees. The Knight shouted an order before he and the other soldiers took off after her. One soldier stayed behind, though, and moved toward the princess, reaching out to her, a dangerous glint in his eyes. Leo knocked and arrow, sighted, and released. It tore into the man's torso and he hit the ground, gasping for breath. Leo moved without another look. That woman would need help. He trailed through the trees, making barely a noise before he found the woman being yanked out of a tree. The concealed Ranger stepped out of the shadows, the long cloak and hood still concealing his features in shadow.

His hand were a blur as he released arrow after arrow, each one finding it's mark, dropping soldiers like flies. Leo caught a movement to his right as the final soldier gurgled, an arrow through his throat. He turned in time to see the Knight swinging his two handed sword, aiming to cut the Ranger in two. He bent backwards quickly, time seeming to slow as the large sword passed just inches in front of his eyes. He stood as the sword began it's next arc. Another dodge and the Ranger drew dual shortswords from sheathes concealed along his back under his cloak, the hilts poking just over each shoulder. Each one completed a simultaneous spin in his hands as he drew them. He deflected the large blade, the Knight suprisingly fast for such a large and unwieldy weapon. He attempted a low swing, trying to take out his legs.

Leo planted a boot on the tip of the sword, forcing it into the ground. He turned and drove both of his blades into the now stunned Knight. His eyes glazed over, shock still in them. The Ranger, grim as ever, picked the man off the ground and threw him at least a meter away off of his blades. He sheathed his blades and picked up his bow before turning to face the woman, still on the ground. He walked slowly over to her and offered a hand to help her up. He wasn't an impolite man, nor was he mean. He was nothing if not fair, though he could be rather cold sometimes. Make that most of the time. His eyes, still shrouded with shadow along with his face, looked over the woman, taking in her dishleved appearance and the telltale bow and quiver with few arrows remaining. A huntress.

Idrial had no idea where the stranger had come from but was glad of the distraction he provided and even as he let his arrows fly she had loosened her bow string from the bow and used it much like a whip as her father had taught her catching the first man across the face and spinning with the bow in hand to smash the second in the face breaking his nose just before the other mans arrow caught him in the back killing him..

the third tripped her but was soon dead from another arrow, by the time she looked up the others were dead and the Ranger walked to her offering a hand.. my thanks..Who are you ? she asked accepting his hand.. and getting to her feet with his help.. and altho she couldnt see his features she felt some how that she could trust this man..

hearing others in the distance she said.. Lets go theres a cave a mile from here where we can hide and then come back later to free some of the others.. anyone else who escaped would know to head there...anyone from the village anyway.. i have a few ideas where to find any soldjers who may have escaped but i doubt many did..

she lead the way threw the woods taking a longer round about way to try to loose anyone who might be trying to track them including doubling back a few times and going over there previous tracks so as to confuse anyone who might be following..

eventually they reached the cave her head was still pounding and as far as she could tell had stopped bleeding a long while ago.. she was greatful and happy to see the cave entrance.. .. thinking of her father made tears come to her eyes.. he had died saving her..

He nodded, silent as ever, and followed the woman through the woods to the supposed cave. He paused to pull several still intact arrows from the corpses before returning them to his quiver and following again. His eyes scanned the shadows as they moved, always vigilant for danger. Always think your enemy knows your there. That way you won't be suprised when they do find out. he heard his master's words echo in his head. He footsteps fell silently, well experienced due to his years in the wilderness.

Leo reached out and stopped the woman as he heard something through the brush. He heard the familiar snuffle and hooves hit the forest floor. Just a deer. He released her and gestured to move on. He watched her gait. She was most definately a huntress. She moved quietly, granted not as quiet as he, but that was to be expected. There was also a slight seductive swing every now and again. He wasn't sure if she did it on purpose. Probably not. They reached the small clearing where the cave was. He held up a hand before slowly dropping to one knee to examine the ground. It didn't seem that there were any tracks heading into the cave. Not a good sign. He stood up waved her forward, moving side by side into the mouth of the cave. He took his bow from his shoulder and knocked an arrow to it.

Can never be too careful.

Idrial stopped as the man next to her checked for tracks leading up to the cave and drew his bow.. her people knew what to do and would have covered there tracks but he was right and she wasnt thinking her head pounded too much to think clearly..

she nodded and kept quiet clearning the tears from her eyes there would be time enough to morn later.... her father would want her to be strong... she let him take the lead.

She cocked an arrow in her own bow as well and kept a little back and to the side being careful not to enter his line of fire..

Leo

Leo moved through the shadows into a deeper area of the cave, feeling the woman next to him. He heard a noise and snapped his bow up, bringing it to full draw as he sighted in on his target. It took only a second to complete the process, but he realized who he was aiming at. An old hunter. A very old hunter. It is very interesting that an old hunter would be able to cover tracks well enough that the Ranger wouldn't have noticed them. He released the tension on the string, but did not remove the arrow from the string. He seemed to be the leader of the scraggly group hiding in the cave.

Two small children, two woman, one man, the hunter, and two soldiers. Interesting that they made it here alive. He noticed that one of the soldiers was bleeding from a gash along his leg. He favored it heavily, and it must have been causing him some amount of pain. Leo looked to his side, still not speaking, though his question was oblivious. Are these your people? He had always made a point of not talking when there was no need. He would speak when needed. For now, he needed not to speak, and he didn't lower his hood either. Shadows still covered his face. He turned back to the group, eyes and ears open for any undue noise or sound.

Idrial entered the cave with him her eyes adjusting to the dark the farther in they went.. she recognized her people right away but still waited until he lowered his wepon not wanting to get in the line of his fire if it were unnecessary.

she nodded her head yes in answer to his unspoken question and moved forward Rinehold.. is this all there are no more ? she asked stepping forward now to greet the older ranger he had been the one to show both her father and herself the caves in the area and help to make plans for when the claw army reached Kilgram..

altho the plans had been made for her father to lead but now... she would have to step forward but with so few they would need to find more men. Men like the ranger who had saved her..

the old ranger spoked before she had a chance.. and who be this ye brought with ye lass ? she noticed the protective look in the old mans eyes and quickly sought to ally his suspissions he saved my life Rinehold... father is gone.. he fell took a blow ment for me..

the old mans looked from him to her and looked sad for a moment patted her hand and said Its up ta ye now lass.. ye'll ha ta free the princess an what men'l follow ye.. fer now are ye wounded..?

Idrial shook her head no but winced with the movement.. i hit my head when father went down.. but the bleeding stopped ... the old man gave her a look and she knew he wouldnt let it alone until after it was cleaned and looked at but she could tell the soldjer with the leg wound was worse off than herself..

lets take care of the others first and then we can look at my head alright...

she moved past the old man then to check on the others and the wounded soldjer.. while the old man turned back to the Ranger wondering if he could trust this man with the secrets he knew and keeping the girl safe... if they could over throw her uncle and return one or both of the twins to there right full place.. peace would return but who to trust now that the girls father was dead

hummm the old man decided he would wait and see if this young man proved trust worthy.. it seems i should thank you for rescuing Idrial... she means a great deal more than you know. will you stay with us... we could use your aid and any others we can find who are willing and able to fight... for we are but a few now...

Leo

Leo watched the young woman, Idrial, move to look over the other survivors. His gaze flicked over to the man that had addressed him, the old hunter. He wanted to know if he would help them. Would he help them? Would he help strangers that he didn't even know try to overthrow a kingdom, during which it was quite possible that he might die? He knew the answer before he thought about it. Yes, he would. He glanced back at Idrial, who was tending to the soldier's leg injury. It wasn't as deep as it seemed, but was still long and deeper than a normal cut. His eyes trailed over Idrial. There was something about her...

He turned back to the hunter, who was still waiting for his answer. He nodded his usual nod. Very subtle, yet very definitive. The man's eyes brightened. Leo replaced the arrow in his quiver and fitted his longbow over his shoulder. He stood with a straight posture, hands clasped behind his back, and waited. He always thought of himself as a neutral person. He saw more gray than black or white. He tended to keep to himself and avoid others at all costs, speaking to few, if any. He showed that here, not talking to the people he had just agreed to fight for. No, he did not fight for them. He fought to stop a tyrant. He glanced at Idrial again. And her. He always noticed that he set people on edge with his cold demeanor and the hood that shadowed his face. It was an interesting feeling. He noticed the village folk seemed wary of him, the children afraid. He did not truly care.

After all, it was how he was, and he wasn't about to change.

The others seen to she let the old man have a look at her injury.. and tho it pained her and had bled it was not very deep so she would indeed be fine.. when he finished she gave him her thanks and asked him to keep watch over the others and move to another cave as soon as it was safe to do so..

tonight she intended to go back and get the lay of the grounds, and see if she could determen where the others if alive were being kept.. for now she moved twords the cave entrance careful to say in the shadows as she kept watch her bow and arrows by her side as she debated how best to go about getting the information she wanted.

she also watched the ranger she noted her peoples reaction to him and understood it but did not feel as they did... she found rather that she liked him he was strong and able to take care of himself unlike so many she knew...

which she supposed was why she had never married as other girls her age had done, no man had come along who she didnt feel she would need to protect.. or that could protect her if need be.. her father had raised her to be strong and so she would need someone strong at her side.

Dreams of a family however were in the far far distance now and likely if she died durring this war not to happen.. but such was the way of life.. she was ment for more.. or so she felt in her heart.

Leo

Leo watched as the old man took a look at Idrial's injury. It was just a small cut, and did not call for much attention. He noted that she was seemingly at ease around him. An unusual reaction to his presence. He was normally met with fear or suspicion, but not this. He unslung his bow and followed her out quietly without another glance back at the cave. The hunter didn't like him, he could feel it. It didn't matter. He wasn't here for him. He silently walked just behind Idrial in the shadows till they reached the cave mouth. He knew what she planned, but understood that she didn't know how to go about it.

He did know how to do it, however, so when they reached the mouth he took the lead, moving through the trees back towards the castle. They passed by the site of the conflict of earlier, but Leo didn't stop, he just kept moving. They arrived, ironically, at the same spot that Idrial had observed and shot the knight at. Leo ran an eye across the village and castle. New soldiers now patrolled the walls and a new flag was hung above the gate. All the corpses had been piled over in a corner and were being burned. The princess was still tied up and was now being taken advantage of by two soldiers while others who had already had their turn stood around them and laughed. The princess looked horribly abused and was covered in light strings of white.

He looked away before he looked back. They would never be able to take all the soldiers here. If there were any survivors, it would be a miracle. The forces they needed would have to come from elsewhere. He looked over at Idrial, still not speaking. He did, however, place a hand on her shoulder and shake his head. If they attacked, they would surely perish. Granted, he could pick them off before they even got to the two of them, but he didn't have enough arrows to take out an army.

Idrial had followed behind the ranger quietly as she was taught and stood next to him as they observed the village and its guards... there were to many.. and nothing she could do for the princess at this time.. not with out losing her own life in the process..

she felt his hand on her sholder and noted the shake of his head he too thought there were too many.. even if she disguised herself and went inside the risk was too great.. and they were too few for now.

she followed him back the direction they came from until she was certin they would not be over heard.. you never did mention your name... i am Idrial she said altho she was thinking still of having to leave this place

she would have to travel to gather other men and women who have taken refuge in some of the few remaining kingdoms not yet taken by the claw armys.. perhaps she could pention some of them for aid.. tho how she would get a King or any of his people to listen to her she had no clue but she would have to try.. she could not let this continue the claw army's had to be stopped..

.............................................

Garret sat on his brother the High kings throne directing his armys against those who would oppose him... if only his brothers twins had died with them and not been spirited away.... then the people would have no hope and have no choice... but so long as both children remain hidden and alive they have hope and continue to struggle...

he would find them... he must.. he summoned four of his men he would send them in the four directions seeking the children... they both would have red hair... the boy would look more like his father with green eyes ... but the girl he remembered had her mothers eyes eyes that could see a mans soul.. ice blue almost white... he was suprised he had not at least heard of the girl..

He stood and walked over to a table laden with food and drink and drained a goblet of wine in one gulp before stairing into the flames of the harth in the hall.... he called a fifth man before him

if these 4 should fail me i would send you out i want them both found... bring them to me i would have them know the truth before they die....

all 5 men bowed out and left the room the 5 th his own captin of the guard would go out if the others failed...

Leo

Leo followed her back quietly until they were a safe distance away, when she turned and asked him his name. His name? What was his name...Ah, yes. Leo. His name was Leo. Would he tell her, though? He probably should. Did he want to? Not really. He didn't want it to be known that he was involved in this. Oh well. He was killing soldiers of the Claw Army, was he not? They would find out who he is eventually. Wait...no they won't. There is no one left in this world that knows him. As far as most people are concerned, he doesn't exist. The only person who had known him was his old mentor, Halt. But now he was dead, and with him died all knowledge of Leo's existance.

"It's Leo." he said simply, his voice cold as it came from inside the cowl. His voice also had a certain...effect. It should prove interesting, as this was her first time hearing it.

He would say nothing else, because as it stands, there was no reason to. This woman did not care for his past any more than the next person. He moved to the cave without another word or glance. They entered the room where the few survivors stayed, who turned to look at them as they entered. Leo stepped back into a shadow which masked his upper body. He prefered not to be seen, but would deal with it for now.

Idrial looked at him tipping her head sideways a bit curious as she studied him.. his answer had been simple and coldly short and yet the deep timber of it seemed to resonate threw out her body.. interesting..

she could tell however that she would get no more from him unless he wished it and so would leave him be and not push..

upon returning to the cave she asked the ranger and Rindhold to join her expalining what she was thinking she needed to do... I will go and seek out other companions to join in our fight but i worrie leaving you hear Rinehold your not as young as you used to be.. and there are so few of you... the soljers can be of help but i fear they would over rule you ..

Rinhold once again thought it was time to tell her the truth of who she really was, but couldnt do it.. if he told her it would increase the risk to her, and yet if he didnt what then.... I think ye should go lass.. there be no other help left here ta find... and ye've a way about ye.. others will listen..

Idrial nodded her agreement.. Very well then i will leave in the morning... i ask you Ranger if you will accompany me or remain here to protect whats left of my people..?

the old man stepped forward.. Let me speek with him lass ye get some rest if yer ta leave in the mornin.. Idiral looked like she would argue but being taught to respect her elders held her toung and for now went to rest.

How would she lead anyone if she continued to let them treat her like a woman or child.. hell she thought as she turned to go back and speak some more with Leo.. she had kept his name to herself because he hadnt really wanted to give it to her..

she stopped hearing her name mentioned as the old man begain talking to Leo and telling him things about her that she didnt even know... or could have guest at...

Rinehold looked at Leo when he thought the girl was gone and said.. I hope i can trust ye lad... but i need ye ta go wi Idrial an keep her safe... ye remember when the old king and his queen were killed....

there twins a boy and girl disapeared...... some think they died... others think they were spirited away else the claw would have displayed them so the people would have no hope.

well... there alive.... least wise i know the girl child is... and that is Idrial.... The Ranger that raise her was the captin o the old guard.. he brought her here, and raised her as his own she dont know any o this... nor who she really is... nor do her brother.. i can tell yer wondern why i am tell ye....

well i am old and her da ner got the chance ta tell her he gave his life fer all our futures....her brother needs be found if he still lives ... if claw is ta be stopped now is the time the children are grown..... and i canna protect her any more... i am too old..

he said the last few words like they were a curse and if he were to die he would rather do it fighting to protect what was left of there people rather than a sickly old man.. he knew it would only be a matter of time before they were found..

Idrial quickly and quietly slipped away as unnoticed as she was able and made her way silently twords a river that was perhaps a 10 muinet walk away she kept watch as she went making sure she was alone and sat down on one of the rocks near the waters edge.. alot of things going threw her mind..

things her father had said off and on as she grew up and people remarking on her eye color her father getting angry with them and telling them to move on and keep there mouths shut.. she had always thought it was because she was different and that ppl thought her a freak but insted it was something else something that could give them away... but there wasnt anything she could do to hide her eyes...

feeling the need to wash the blood from her self and her clothing she scanned the area but not sencing anyone and thinking Leo still speaking with the old ranger she stripped down but kept her bow and arrows with in reach never going far from them..

she stepped into the cool water of the river and ducked her head under... it was cold enough that her nipples had instantly hardened when she had entered but her body soon adjusted to the temprature..

she surfaced and quickly washed and rinsed herself before going back for her clothing.. she looked them over and found that most of the blood she had had on her had been in her hair and not on her clothing in the least... she dressed quickly the night air had a slight chill..

sitting down once more she looked out over the water.. and thinking she had been gone long enough began to head back when she noticed movement off to the left across the river from her.. she ducked back in the shadows using the trees and bushes as well as the darkness to hide her..

a search party had been sent out for any straglers that might have gotten away.. they had not seen her and they were making a hell of a lot of noise.. she supposed they intended to scare out anyone who might be hidding.. and indeed they mannaged to .. a small boy no more than 5yrs of age who had been hidding in the woods..

Idrial watched as they gave chace and noted there direction she begain to run her quiver over her sholder arrow notched and ready in her bow as she moved to get ahead of them and take position before they caught the boy..

Leo watched Idrial talking to the old man, Rinhold. She asked the ranger to accompany her, and he noticed that she hadn't given his name to the man. Good. He preferred people not knowing him. He watched the man silently as he walked over to talk to him. Leo noticed the flicker of movement and the quiet padding of Idrial's feet as she left the cave in an oblivious attempt to sneak away. Wasn't she supposed to be resting? He looked at the old hunter and nodded again. He had no reason to betray this man's trust. But this only confirmed his earlier suspicion. There was something about that woman, and he was suprised he hadn't noticed it before.

He turned and silently followed her out of the cave, trailing her through the woods. They arrived at a small spring not ten minutes walk from the cave entrance. He dropped silently to one knee and laid his arm across it, his longbow held in his left hand, two arrows between his fingers. He kept an eye on the forest and one on the woman sitting on the rock by the water. She stood suddenly and stripped down her clothes, taking a dive into the water. She surfaced and the water rolled down her pleasantly curved body. Leo looked away, but found his eyes drawn back to her. He growled internally and tore his eyes away again. The body is only a vessel for the mind. Master them both, and you will get very far indeed. One of his older master's favorite sayings. Leo lived by that quote. He watched her out of the corner of his eye, only seeing her shape, not the exact features.

She stood and quickly got dressed. He turned to look at her again, thankful that the temptation was taken away. He found himself desiring this woman already. He cut the thought off instantly. He had seperated himself from emotion a long time ago. There was a movement across the river. A group of soldiers patrolling found a small boy who had been hiding. The boy took off and the soldiers gave chase. Idrial started after them, speeding up to attempt to outrun them to the boy. Leo followed. She was always getting herself into trouble, and needed protecting more than she thought.

And Leo just happened to be the one who could protect her.

Idrial managed to get ahead of them the boy narrowly missing capture with each weave and dodge threw the bush... his small hight his only advantage.. while the men laughed at each other for failing to capture such a wee lad.. there were 5 of them..

she quickly took aim and killed the closest one to the boy and herself first.. shooting him threw the neck..

The boys eyes widened with suprise even as the mans friends stopped laughing suprise and then anger regestering on there features as they reolized what was happining..

Idrial jerked her head indicating which direction the boy should run and notched another arrow taking aim the boy shot off like a hair in the direction she had indicated and the men began to advance.. she loosed another arrow hitting the man in the chest..

she rushed the 3rd shot taking him in the sholder of his sword arm.. the others were nearly to her run or fight.. the boy was free but she dared not lead these men back to the others... fight.. there were only two left.. she loosed the string on her bow and used the bow itself like a staff

she ducked the first ones blow spinning around she kicked his legs out from under him and stood quickly using her bow to block the strike from the second.. she was holding her own as far as defense but unable to land a counter attack..

Leo

Leo watched Idrial fire off the first shot, arrow going through the man's neck. He gurgled and fell to the ground. The second shot took the next man in the chest. He also fell. The third shot, however was rushed, and took the man through his right shoulder. He dropped his sword but was not dead. In fact, he was already picking it up and moving towards Idrial again. She herself was doing just fine as far as defensive measures, but wasn't going to be attacking any time soon. Leo moved in the shadows to intercept the wounded man.

The Ranger, cloaked in his shadows, brought his foot up for a high kick, knocking the sword out of the man's hand and up into the air. Surprise showed on his face just before Leo caught the sword out of the air, spun around, and shoved the sword back behind him, under his left arm, and into the man's chest. He fell, naturally. Few men can take sword through the chest. Leo pulled out one of his smaller knives and sidearmed it at the man on the ground. It took him in the chest, and he cried out in pain and surprise. Leo walked over to him. As he walked by the man Idrial was grappling with, he drew his right short sword, cut the back of the man's knees, and sheathed it in one smooth motion. He dropped to his knees. Idrial would handle him. As for the other man, the Ranger raised his boot over the dagger lodged in his chest and then brought it down swiftly, pushing the man into the ground, the blade further in, and silencing him.

He calmly pulled the dagger from the man, sheathed it, and looked over to Idrial, who had probably finished the last man by now.

Idrial had indeed finished off the soldjer who she was fighting while Leo took care of the other.. she turned to thank him again for his aid when something even stranger occured.. she turned twords some strange sounds looking at an old abandoned well...

the was covered in vines and over growth from the forrest.. the man who had lived out here had been run off long ago for thevery and his home burned..

to her suprise a rather Large man came climbing out of it... she didnt think he had been with the soldjers or that someone of his size would have hidden in the well from anyone...

she sent a questioning look in Leo's direction wondering what he thought.. she re strung her bow and waited to see if this man would prove a friend to them or a foe.

Oops!!

OOC: sorry guys here is my REAL bio.... there will prob. be some simalarities, just to stick with the storyish...

Name:Serapis
Age:26
Gender:Male
Height:6"2"
Weight:127
Attire: A Torn Up Soldiers Suit
Class: Combo Of Rogue and Swordsman
Build: Very Compact, Has A Lot Of Muscle
Hair:Very Untight, Dirty Blonde
Backround: Grew up in the bad side of town, had many brothers, half died of diseases, a half of the survivors died to inhome fighting. Mother and father both dead. Was born the scrawny one of the bunch, had to bulk up to win. It didnt work well, but he was determined. Until then, he learned to run, sneak, and play dirty. Had only two friends, one was now dead, the other nowhere to be found (was completely unlike the others). Named Jerimiah and Adrian, respectively. When Jerimiah died, he ran out of town. Met a wandering caravan who taughthim swordsplay in exchange for 10 yrs. of service. Was trained at the early age of 6. Grew to enjoy the mans company, and vowed to the man he would "become the greatest swordsman ever." After finished with training, started his own caravan, when he met a stranger who challenged him to a duel over a expensive necklace. With a strong pride, he accepted, and lost, the stranger was way too fast and used a knife. He asked the stranger if he could teach him, and the stranger told him he was a "honorable" theif, and needed assistance. So he exchanged another 6 yrs. of his life to training. He has spent the last 4 yrs. doing his hardest to stay alive, and get better with his very interesting 2 handed sword fighting with dual court swords, preffering speed over power.

Thank god, I thought to myself. I thought they would find me for sure. As i climbed out of the relatively large well, I found my pursuers, they were all dead on the ground. I looked towards the two nearest people, amale and a female, noticed they had weapons, and told them my story before they, who probably killed these 4, killed me too. "Uhhhhhhh... Well hello. I am Serapis. Please don't shoot me, i can explain why i am dressed similar as these unfortunate fellows who are.. well... dead, i presume. Probably for the same reason you are hiding in these woods. I was attacked in my own home, and after defeating multiple guards, fleed to safety in the woods. I found this well, and when i heard nothing, I jumped out." I rapidly huffed trying to regain my breath. I was quite scared i would have to fight these two, and at our range i wouldn't touch them. I couldn't lose my dream that easy. The male was obviously trying to be imposing, however i have dealt with his type before, and wasn't too creeped out. I played the act however, because usually men of his type get angry, and feel challenged when you don't. And those arrows were quite sharp.

Idrial looked at this rather large man strangely wondering weather or not to believe his tail.. these soldjers had been after the boy and simply on patroll they hadnt come across any others in search of this man..

if he had been chaced here and hid as he said then the men after him would be doubling back anytime.. what if he were lieing to them and this was a trick of some sort.. he was dressed as the others... but did they have time to question him if he was telling the truth ??

start talking and fast.. if your telling the truth we dont have much time.. she said taking note that the boy had doubled back to peek and see who won the fight.. seeing it was them but didnt know who the other man dressed like a claw soldjer was he stayed back..

Leo

Leo watched was the man dressed in a tattered claw soldier uniform climbed out of a nearby well. Two things ran through his mind. One, what was a well doing all the way out here? And two, why was he here? The latter was answered by the man. As for the first...well, people do strange things. Leo looked at the man. He was laying it on a little thick. He understood that this man wasn't all that fazed by his appearance, interestingly enough, and that for whatever reason he was still playing the act. He kept an arrow on the string, however. He didn't entirely trust this man. Then again, he didn't trust many people, if any, these days. A quick glance over his shoulder showed the boy peering out of the bushes, curious as to who won the fight.

Leo looked over at Idrial, catching her eye. He nodded toward the general direction of the cave. His message: time to go. They couldn't afford to stay any longer, lest they be captured. This man, Serapis, would have to go with them for now. He could be dealt with later, even if that meant he had to kill him himself. He led the way, not bothering to see if they would follow or not, he knew they would. He padded silently through the undergrowth in the direction of the cave. Arriving at the small clearing, he waved them forward and followed behind, walking backwards with his bow at half draw, eyes scanning the treeline. He backed into the cave and they entered the larger room with the survivors. He stopped a decent distance away, so he would be able to hear but far enough away that he could deal with any "problems" that may arrise. He remained silent, and stood with his upper body concealed in the shadows.

Idrial understood Leo's silent message and agreed with him they didnt have time to figure things out right this second.. as he turned and lead the way Idrial motioned for Serapis to follow.. you coming or staying ? she waited long enough to see what he would do.

if he came with them she would follow behind putting Serapis in the middle.. if he didnt and went his own way then well that was his choice..

The pair seemed as though they came to an agreement and they asked me if I would come. "I think ill tag along. I need to get back at those guards for chasing me out of my own home eventually." I looked over at the man. He seemed somewhat defensive, but who could blame him? I was a random stranger dressed as the enemy who sprang at of a well. I'm also quite large if ii do say so myself. All in all this was turning out quite strange.

Idrial spotted the boy as they were leaving and convinced him to come along with them as well.. itw would be safer for him than living alone in the woods.. after awhile she took point when Leo waved them forward and dropped back trusting his judgement she lead the way into the cave.

the boy quickly joined the other survivers in the cave.. Idrial turned facing the new comer Leo was in the entery way and she was between Serapis and the others in the cave...she waited motioning for the others in the cave to be silent... as they waited to hear if they had indeed been followed or not..

muinets passed that seemed like hours.. but no they had gotten lucky this time and had not been followed.

The patroll looking for the larger man had indeed missed them by 10 muinets.. but did discover there companions bodies.. and returned to camp to report.. and canvase the area with more men..

Safe enough for now Idrial spoke up once more ok now explain who are you and how you ended up dressed as you are and in that well...

her people had all moved back as far as they could get from him because of the uniform he was wearing
