so far, the best writer i've come accross on the boards.

he understands less is more. he uses minimalism to effectivly create depth of character without, and this is nearly impossible by the way, the overuse of archetypes. he uses the "gruff" prose of classic contemporary american writers while maintaining his own style. he is poigniant and effective.

His work isn't my thing. I think it's the style I don't care for more than the substance. But from my understanding, I'm the minority and his style is the very thing others like. Leave it to me to be the dissenter. His writing isn't bad, it just doesn't float my boat, I guess. *shrugs and walks off hoping not to have offended anyone*
